I ordered the 15th...still b/o. CC had 5 on the shelf in Dublin, CA, so I grabbed one. After the $55 in rebates, it'll be $20 (stupid CA tax). Now I can use this and have several options of what to do:

1. Keep both drives.
2. Cancel BB order.
3. Use drive now, return the one from BB to CC when it comes.
etc.

I ordered on 8/14 and got the confirmation shipping email yesterday. It left for here this morning at 3:24AM. So I will get it Monday, plenty of time.... excellent.

If I was concerned though I would hop over to Circuit City B&M and just take it home now... sigh. I COULD spend MORE money.

returned the avery label maker today now that i know altering the order won't void my BB rebates on the burner. i looked at my BB order confirmation, and realized the price for the burner before rebates is $60 at BB vs. $70 at CC. if CC will 110% price match, then it's $4 + (tax on $60) burner AR.

tested the drive...so far, so good. a 698 MB movie took 2:46 to burn at 48x (the rated speed of my CDR media). sure beats the 20 minute / CD time on my old 4x burner.

It says PO Box 9500, but the zip code is 04619-9537. Usually that would
indicate a PO Box 9537, rather than 9500.

Don't worry about it. Sometimes they are different. As long as the regular zip code is ok your ok.

Item arrived today. Order form that came w/ package shows 8/14 Order date. I don' see why rebate will be rejected. Just don't forget to mail/postmark before 9/16.

If your things shipped separately, double check your CC statement...they overcharged me for the Lite-On at $74.89 when it should have been $64.19. The Afterburner System and my TDK CDRs were charged properly.

I had to wait on hold for 30 minutes to reach someone for a $10.70 price adjustment. :|

It's compatible with more brands/models of CDR/CDRW media. But the newest firmware isn't always the best. Check CDR Freak's Lite On forum or maybe their Firmware forum to make sure.

So what do I print out to send in with the rebate? I didn't print anything when I made the purchase.

That might work, but I think it would be safer to go to the site, log in, go to your order, click on "view order receipt" and then print out the "Order Receipt" page. A printout of the order page might not be counted as a "receipt".

I agree with allisolm. I printed out the order receipt using the little red button in the order details. I highlighted the order date and the item detail to make sure they don't get sidetracked with the shipped date.
