lite-on: what's the diff between 166S and 165H?

hi.. tried searching to see if this was already posted.. but i don't think it has been.

basically i'm looking for a dvd drive. the word on the streets is that lite-on makes the best ones (please correct me if i'm wrong). so i'm looking up lite-ons, and i see these 166S drives and 165H drives. they pretty much look exactly the same, so i'm like what the heck. can anyone tell me the difference between these drives? and, if indeed lite-on does make the "best" dvd drives, which lite-on should i get?

Actually, I don't know if this helps, but I just got a Lite-On 166s, I too was confused with the model nos. I went to a computer store (in Vancouver, Canada), which is known for their low prices. It cost me 60.00cad plus tax (that is about 40.00usd which is real cheap). I wanted at 16x DVD 48X CD-Rom, which indeed this is. This one is actually supposed to be an OEM version, and it only has the eject button on it and 1 LED light. I believe the boxed models have another button for manual fast forward and a couple other options which this doesn't have. I haven't used it yet to play DVD's simply because I don't have any yet, the idea is I want to hook it up via my video card to my TV.
I will say, though, that the CD-ROM is very quiet compared to my A-Open which this replaces.

both drives have the same spec, performance & compatibility but the 166 is reported to have these improvements: acoustic noise improvement, disk scratch free design, tray in out noise improvement, better dust proof, protection wall on tray motor, symmetrical suspension points, light weight & stronger structure against drop or shock.
