I am having problems with my liteon ldw-411s drive burning my dvd-r ritek G04s. I have tryed both firmware version FS0F and FS0H plus i replaced my round ide cable with a new 80 pin ribbon cable. My system is :
ECS KS75A rev 1
amd xp 2100+
256MB DDR RAM
runing windows xp pro
nero version 6.3.0.0
powerdvd xp
pinnacle sudio 8.3

Everytime I try to burn a disk I get a session fixation error after the burn gets to 100% in nero. I have no clue what a session fixation error even is :/

here is a log of the burn.

Any Help would be apriated. Oh before i got this new 25 pack or Ritek DVD-Rs i have been using TDK wich are rebranded Ritek and I have had some success geting 3 out of 5 disks to burn successfull. The two worked and then the third one worked when i unchecked finalize disk.

From what I can see the LDW-411 is not supported by Nero. However, are Ritek and TDK media the only media you have tried?

Found this...

Session fixation error writing lead-in
(Session fixation error writing lead-in)

This error occurs for the same reasons as given in Power Calibration area area nearly full .

Here is another list of Errors and the resolutions...

I have tryed the media that came with the drive i think it was tayo yuden or something like that but it was +r anyways even though it burned fine in nero. I havent realy tryed any other software because i dont want to install roxio for fear it might mess something else up worse. I do have it though so i guess i have no chioce :/
Will continue doing research though before i try it or make more coasters.

Looks like they had the same problems. I just downloaded that utility reg checker tool of neros and it found some errors. It makes sense that it could be a software problem because i swaped out the ide cable, checked jumpers, and upgraded the firmware. I do have other burner software on this system one by pinnacle and the other with powerdvd it would seem.

take all those log files and that crappy software and throw it out your bedroom window, nero's been less compadible and fubared from the start of DVD burning, anyone who tells you different has not been doing it long enough to know or is hard headed.
