I didn't see a thread so why the heck not start one. I bought the game for my daughter (6yr) old after work today. I am very impressed, we only played for about a hour but so far so good. I expect alot from this game, the user created content should be pretty awesome this time.

What do you guys think of this game?

Got the Collector's Edition from Amazon today, booted it up and played a little bit. There was a huge pod bug (still exists until they update) that screwed the whole thing up if you changed your avatar, so I had to deal with that, and then the networks were laggy as shit, so myself and friend couldn't play more than two or so levels. Figured I'd put it away until I get RDR finished up.

Had some friends over and went through the first 8 or so levels in 4 player. Changed our avatars MANY times and never had any bug problems?

Just installed the demo. I'm probably going to pick this up to play with a friend who got a ps3 just for this game.

I played for a few minutes last night. I loved the first one and this one seems great too. Just makes me smile all the time lol. I really liked that the challenge/key levels now give you stickers based on certain point breakthroughs, or at least the first one did, so I assume the rest do as well. I only played 2 or 3 levels so I haven't seen much, but so far I'm happy. Can't wait to check out the created stuff, and maybe I'll try to build something this time around

Played the demo and couldn't get the Move controller to work right. It seems like you'd have to have a Nav controller to work, despite Sony saying you could just use the left side of any controller. When I had the move controller on and another controller, it read each controller as a separate player with no way to move the guy with the Move.

Unless I'm missing something, the whole thing about not needing a Nav controller was a lie.

I couldn't get my Move controller working either, so I'm assuming you do need a navigation controller.

The game feels exactly like it's predecessor, mechanically speaking. For me the most annoying thing so far is the constant barrage of interruptions from the supporting cast. I appreciate the fact that MM is trying to take the narrative a step farther with a more cinematic approach, but there is just too much camera grabbing for me.

I agree, especially because the story is stupid. The online sucks again so far, but maybe it's just overcrowded. Took me about 10 tries to join a game without getting "refused." Finally get into a game, 4 people, and theres one douche on a mic. We finally get to the end of the level and he's grappling me and it's impossible to go anywhere if someone is being a dick like that. the host finally kicks him, and kicks me too. awesome start. Next few tries, refused again. sigh....

anyone wanna play online?

Send me a pm if any of you wanna play LBP2. I plan on getting into it this weekend and creating something. If we had a decent group of people here who play the game that actually create levels we could have a good thing.

I am all for finding some people (adults) that play this game. I really like the game and so does my daughter but not having any people to play the game with that actually play it the right way sucks.

Hopefully some of you guys here create some levels, I know i will. This game has alot of potential. My PSN is (yoboybrice) feel free to friend request me.

PSN in sig if anybody wants to play. Just got done playing through the first two worlds with a friend, so much fun shooting each other with the cake gun and grabbing with the glove. Amazing how much has changed since LBP1 with camera angles and all.

To ammend my previous comment, it seems that having the media server option turned on was screwing with my connection. I turned it off and I'm finding games more consistently and theres not really any lag, and I haven't run into any more douches yet I still NEVER get people joining my games though, I always have to join others. It does piss me off when it tries to join games of people who auto-deny requests. Why does it even attempt to join those lol

A friend brought it over so I played it a bit last night. From what I played it felt exactly like LBP1, and I was just as unimpressed as I was back then. I'd like to give it another shot in 3 or 4 player, though.

BAH! I take that back lol, the internet blows again. Tried opening ports, wired/wireless, it all sucks. Either people refuse to let me join, the connection times out, or the loading page starts getting glitchy and never lets me into the game and I have to quit. jesus christ...

Been playing the game for a few hours after picking it up this afternoon. Just got through the Da Vinci area alone and the game is very fun. Though the grappling hook mechanics are frustrating at times. I can't swing back and forth without increasing or decreasing line length. I feel like they should have put height on R and swinging on L stick.

Haven't messed with online but me and a buddy are planning on doing Co-Op when he gets home in a few minutes.

played for about 2 hours last night and had a blast with a friend of mine and 2 of his kids online. Yeah, it's still a little too floaty for my tastes, but they've definitely improved on the control a bit, the game looks A LOT better IMO, and some of the new gameplay mechanics are great (cake shooting head helmet ftw).

I liked the first one, but didn't play it nearly. I got a feeling I'll be playing this one a lot more.

Me and my buddy played a few storyline missions together and had a blastie. The goofiness gives it great charm and its just amazingly enjoyable. I feel like the storyline level are absolutely amazing. Hopefully user created content can become this great but the few user created levels we messed with were subpar at best.

If you go to http://lbp.me, you can queue up levels for yourself. I definitely recommend trying out Lunar Explorer, Battle Cars Arena and Blast Radius if you're looking for levels stray completely from the LBP/Sackboy levels. Blast Radius is my favorite, just wish there was more to it, but it looks amazing.

answer:
I've seen a lot of people asking how PlayStation Move works in LittleBigPlanet 2, and the short answer is "It doesn't." It isn't broken; it just isn't in the game. Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves (a Move game available right now on the PlayStation Store) is on the disc, but that's it. At the moment, LBP2 doesn't use the motion controller at all but it supports it for future additions.

is the platforming feel the same? Floaty?

Yes but that's just how lbp works I honestly don't get why people keep complaining about this we never complain about the feel of Mario3 vs sonic2 it's just the way it plays and the consequences will never be the same

That's horrible. If anything was to save my lack of interest in Move it'd be the proper support they said it would have. What a worthless purchase...

Anyone wanna buy two Move controllers? They're a load of fun with endless possibilities! :whiste:
