They're following the rule of "Don't Feed the Troll"

- M4H

Sorry M4H, but thats BULLSH!T. Why did they respond to me when they thought I was an easy target, and now they are ignoring my second post? If they were really following that rule, they wouldn't have jumped when they smelled blood the first time.

Responses to you:
and how many of those happen because of registered Class 3 weapons?
You are simply wrong and have no grasp on the situation so I will leave it at that, no sense talking to someone as missinformed as you.

A question (which you have yet to answer) and a dismissal of you as a worthy opponent in a debate regarding gun violence. Hardly jumping on you - if anything, you were counter-trolled by them.

I can guarentee if you took a list of the 100 most cultured, sophisticated individuals modern American society has to offer, not a single one of them would list "shooting large automatic weapons and blowing up cars" as a hobby or interest.

However, should you make a list of the 100 most ignorant, ass-backward hicks of modern American society, a large majority would claim to be lifetime members to that club in that video.

You idiots are so blind to your own repulsive, philistine lives.

Not only are you using fallacious reasoning, it requires a subjective assessment of what is "cultured" and "sophisticated."

Philistine... could you BE more of a cliche?

Blowing up cars isn't cultured entertainment by ANY stretch of the imagination.

Why is blowing up cars any different than watching chemicals explode in the sky at a fireworks display?

Because blowing up cars is juvenille.

And watching fireworks isn't?

Someone with your track record with women shouldn't be making fun of anyone's sexuality.

How would you know what my track record with women is, Fruitloop?

You got seriously upset over an underage starlet's behaviour and deemed her a "slut."

Yeah, I'm guessing you're a real hit with women.

Which situation are you referring to? I've called lots of women sluts. Probably because they were acting like sluts.

Anyhow, back to my original question, Cinderella. How would you know anything about my track record with women?

LA County's population is 50% higher than Israel's. It is naive to assume that if people didn't have guns, they'd stop killing people. I suspect LA has a lot of gun deaths because it has a lot of gangs. If you take away their guns they'll kill each other with knives.

Sorry buddy, but I'm talking LA CITY 3.8 million people. Read my post a little more carefully next time. IL has a pop of 6 mil +

(seriously, go re-read my post)

The post you edited? I didn't re-read it immediately before I posted, sorry.

Re-read mine, I edited it too.

And I'm not your buddy.

M4H, I would be the first to agree that Class III weapons are NOT the problem. But people blowing up cars as a pass time maybe is.... I guess my main point is that this video seems to be an example of how we glorify guns in this country rather than treat them as the most serious tool we humans ever made.

How is that glorifying them, exactly? That video sparks exactly what is poisoning this country: ignorance, fear, and blind close-minded opposition.

I just re-read this again, and I'd like you to post your facts, because unless Israelis live a LOOOOOONG time that just doesn't add up.

Now if you meant total gun deaths per year in Israel, that's believable... but terrorists use bombs, not guns.

That smacks a lot of the "violent video games/music/movies/TV is polluting the minds of our youth" thread of thought. People killed each other back when it was just spears and clubs too.

It's glorifying them becuase they are basically being used as toys/fireworks/entertainment. It's one thing to go to a range to keep your skills up, or shoot a few rounds for fun. I feel that its another story to bring your kids and blow up 10 cars and fire 20,000 rounds.

It seems that it's basically telling the kids, these are fun!! Show your friends, and blow stuff up! Daddy does!

I donno, maybe I just don't get it.

Cool video, looks like a crapload of fun.

I'll pass on the bickering of this thread though.

ATOT has very little firearm knowledge, and continues to prove it.

OK here it is:

LA pop: 3.8 mil http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0763098.html
IL pop: 6.2 mil http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/rankorder/2119rank.html

IL deaths: From 2000 to 2004, "In the Palestinian attacks, about 1,001 Israelis were killed (up to September 2004) and 6,700 were wounded (source: Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs)."

LA city deaths: In 2004, there were 31,245 recorded violent crimes of which 518 were homicides.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles

Israel has a VERY VERY VERY low non-war related gun homicide rate which is about 2.3 per 1 million, or about 15 per year

After they go and shoot those 20,000 rounds tho, i think they'll have learned how powerful of a tool one of those guns really is, and i know you could come back with the argument that it might make the kids too comfortable with guns but i doubt it would. My father owns a shotgun, and back about 7 years ago (i was about 12), we went to a shooting range, and i i shot some targets, close and far away. After seeing the damage that weapon can do, I'm am so careful with how i use it.

There you go, that is the first thing you have said in this thread that is actually correct. Kids brought up around guns and taught how to use and respect them are not the ones in this country using guns for violence....maybe in self defense. Like has already been said, if you take away guns violence does not decrease because the method would be the only change....but then again criminals would get guns and continue to use them anyway. Go figure.

I don't get why they have fireworks at Disneyworld either. It glorifies fireworks and then chidren get home and blow their fingers off... This is your type of logic which, obviously, is flawed.

There is nothing wrong with a little legal entertainment.

So, is the Machine gun being shot a M2? I figured you would have a better knowledge of such things.
