Should I be scared shitless of FS FT now? Or just douchebags?

Just only deal with forum members that have either an extensive history with these forums and/or people with good heatware. Preferably the latter.

just dbags

I buy on FS/FT here a ton and I don't think twice. The mods here don't permit BS. There are very strict rules and as long as you use common sense, you are fine.

But I will have ZERO, only 10 feedback on ebay, but 100% positive.

We all agree PayPal sucks BUT, the seller chose to use it. Under the terms the seller agreed to, an exchange of money DID take place. Reneging on the agreement is unethical regardless of the buyers ability to leave negative feedback. The buyer sounds like a jerk, the seller also sounds like a jerk. I call it a two way tie for last place.

I'd deal with you. You've been here forever. It's all a judgment call, and judgment should be made before a transaction is started.

That's how I see it. Poor form has been shown all around.

you have been placed in my personal traders to avoid list.

You either need medication or to get laid. Not sure which...

just like you

To the OP, once he gave you his paypal that was his agreement. You asked for it and he sent it. Much different then the seller listing paypal address in the sell thread.

Being he raised the price after is a big warning sign.

I have almost snagged hot deals like this being the first to reply and at those times always had extreme stellar ratings and the asshats relisted once they had many other offers.

Online forums for the most part are our last battalion on set trades. You want an auction choose eBay or the like. Personally I do use eBay and suck up the cost when I have a hot item to the public. I know most forum members are a bit ahead of the curve so my popular last year model can sometimes go insanely on an auction, but those that know think it's worth so much less.

That said I don't think I have ever disappointed anyone that dealt with me on any auctions/trades that weren't trying to rip me off in some way (usually bidding with one account and asking to pay with another once the sale was agreed too)

I am really honest but feel untrusted now as I only been here about a week :-(

I didn't have any problems when I first bought something with no feedback. I joined these forums and hardforums (the post requirement there is new?) just for FS/FT. I paid first, and used paypal. I also haven't minded selling to newish people with no feedback either. I even waited for one guy to sign up for paypal and helped him a bit LOL.

My FS/FT experiences on hardforum are worse than here, though. With sellers, not buyers. Bunch of cat and mouse games. "Oh, this mouse is basically new." *10 PMs later* "Here is a pic with the chunk of the rubber coating worn off!"

I think the worst has been GameTZ. Always got lowball offers because I was new. Bunch of dumbfucks, I never ended up selling or buying anything there.

If I try and get a 9550 from here, can everyone promise to be nice to me? I am a fragile little flower.

This is just MHO, but I would venture to guess that Lloose got a LOT of offers quickly, so he decided that he was under-priced.
Then, reneged on his deal, raised the price to sell for more.
I know I have sold before and later realized I could have easily asked for & gotten more, but reneging would not be an option for me.

Just sounds fishy to me.

BTW, I've been a member of [H] for ~10 years, made a few deals there, but I would bet I have much less than 50 posts there!

The OP needs to grow up....he didn't get scammed he got his money returned to him very quickly. The transaction was effectively cancelled. Also his whining over here just shows how immature he really must be.

Just an update. The card sold (several hours later, I didn't have a ton of offers) for the exact same price the OP would have paid. At one point the price was different but it was because I was cutting and pasting the entire post from another forum and forgot that I didn't change the price on the other forum's post. I quickly changed it back to the lower selling price and made note of it in my post.

Share the details then

-HIS 4870 sold for $55.
-Sold on Hardforum.com. Also posted on my schools local FS forum.
-Originally posted at $70, then price dropped to $60, then $55. The price stayed $60 on the school forums.
-It was sold to a member of Hardforum who met the requirements to be able to participate in the FS/FT forum.

I've been a member at Hard for over 6 years and sold a ton of stuff there.
Also bought a ton.

There are rules just like anywhere, and Lloose chose to follow them.

Was there a deal? no. The OP got a full refund immediately. Suck it up and quit whining.

I've had it happen to me as well, well after I had myself established on the forum and on Heatware. if the guy with the stuff decides to back out, so be it. That's life.
I've also made agreements to buy something and chosen not to go forward (before money changed hands). Shit happens.

Lioose had every right to do what he did and for a good reason. Too many douchebags whine to paypal and nearly always get a refund, with the seller getting hosed.
This OP sounds like a really immature hothead and I'd do the same.
