Several freebies at Staples B&M:

Sandisk USB Compactflash/SmartMedia card reader (SKU 489624) free after $30 MIR. You don't have to purchase any CompactFlash or SmartMedia card. The rebate form was printed out when I checked out. You can find the rebate on-line as well.

Britannica 2002 Deluxe (no SKU) earn $5 after $15 rebate. The price was $9.99 at Staples. Make sure there is a $15 sticker on the box. You won't be able to get the rebate without the sticker.

Bic markers (SKU 486280/486281), wite-out (SKU 397062/450476/482491) all free AR.

All Staples rebates expired on 8/17/2002. The $15 Britannica 2002 Deluxe rebate is still valid until 9/30/2002.

The Staples is running the deal again this week. Now it is out of stock for me on-line. Check your B&M. The rebate is here. I think the rebate is valid for Staples B&M store purchase only.

I combined the encyclopedia with the card reader and a $10 off $40 for a grand total of -$12.90! Got this at the B&M.

Not true. The rebate form was printed out at checkout. As far as I can tell, this is a B&M deal.
There are two separate rebates going on. This one you DO NOT need to purchase the 128 MB
CF card. The rebate form clearly states purchase at Staples versus others that state at Staples, Staples.com, etc.

There are two different Sandisk $30 rebates on the Staples &RebatesHQ web sites. One requires the purchase of additional memory and the other does not. However, beware these are Sandisk manufacturer rebates and not the typical Staples/McAllen TX processed rebates. These rebates go to P.O. Box 028509, Miami FL 33102-8509.

oh my, so i get to send in the rebate the same day i buy it i hope they still have stock sandisk seems to charge a decent amount for their readers, are they that much faster then generic? anyway to check stock of certain stores online?

The first time I tried to add the Britannica 2002 it showed OOS, but after adding the other items to my cart I tried aain and it worked. I added some Cd sleeves that I needed to get the total high enough so I wouldn't have to pay shipping.

After all is said and done, I will pay about $10 for the Britannica, Card Reader, White Out, and 50 Pack of CD Sleeves.

i looked on the staples website and the sandisk website
neither had a rebate.. maybe i'll just have to go in the store and buy it...

Also, my read of the rebate form is that this is valid for purchases made at Staples, inclusive of staples stores, Staples.com and Staples Direct. Hopefully, Staples doesn't mean Staples Stores only.

By any chance would it be possible to purchase 2 and get rebates on both? Reason being.. shipping is only free when 50$ or more is purchased so ill be saving an additional 7.xx just on shipping. Also my gf needs one for her kodak digital frame. So technically they are for 2 different households but both are being purchased at the same time on my cc.

Great, ordered online. They advertise the rebate online and my submitted order page also says what I bought was eligible for rebate, so they ought to honor the rebate. I get free shipping so didn't need another item.

how'd u get free shipping? They want to charge me $7.95 for shipping so i cancelled and will pick up at store 7 miles away.
