Livejournal or Xanga or other

I'm planning on starting a web blog but i'm not sure which is better livejournal or Xanga or any others that you guys know about. It's going to be more for a personal use and random stuff, i'm planning on posting alot of pictures. What do you guys recommend?

They'd probably both be fine. I use Xanga personally, but I don't post a lot of pics (I have a separate webserver with photo gallery software for that).

I've used both Xanga and Livejournal, and I prefer Livejournal. Easier to use, layouts are easier to setup, and there aren't as many ads. Aren't as many hot asian chicks, though.

i don't know any non-asians who use xanga either

i don't use xanga... nor do i maintain a blog (anymore). i used movabletype on my webserver though.

I really prefer some blog software on my website, but I use LJ because all my friends do. it's far easier to just click on the "Friends" link than click back and forth between different website blogs.
