i wish i could give us both some useful advice, bthorny, but i don't think i can. hang out with a cynical single male friends. listen to a lot of loud music. drive too fast. find someone who you can bare your sould to. find a new violent and energetic hobby. it'll take a long time, but we will both get over our losses, hopefully. i've managed to come out of my near suicidal dispair. porn doesn't help, by the way.

I had a similar experience a few years back when my now current wife decided after 5 years of dating that she wanted more. She dumped me and started seeing some guy that was 20 years older than her and had some big $$$$ to spend. On top of the hurt, I had to deal with the knowledge that she was seeing some geezer that I could never compete with...man I felt inadequate. The worst part was knowing he was getting access to all the stuff that only YOU had access to before (this is hard to describe, but people that have broken up know what I mean). I warned her that all this guy wanted was a trophy girlfriend, and she just told me to mind my own business and leave her alone. 6 months later, she found out I was right and we're married today


Now I wonder sometimes if that was a bad decision heheheheeh....she has HELLA PMS! :Q

I dated a girl for a year; dumped her three weeks after I went off to school (she'd gone to school two months before... made herself a nice little life down there, etc); we had a series of arguments and fights where I realized that she had no respect for me, and that she was abusive...etc.

Well, to make a long story short, she started dating a guy at her school a week after we broke up, they got engaged like a month later... then he broke it off about four months later...

My point was... it hurts when someone you've been intimate with decides you can be replaced in a matter of a few weeks with a guy she's known for a month.
