Local Best Buy does me right..

On Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, I, like many of you,went to my local Best Buy for the deals. I got there just as they ran out of 60 gig WD Hard drives (150-50 discount - 50 MIR).

There were quite a few of us there, dissapointed, so this store goes ahead and offers us ANY 40 gig hard drive for $50 total, up front, no MIR. I was able to score a 40 gig WD 7200rpm drive ($130).. not too bad, so I have to give props to my local Best Buy (Ft.Lauderdale/Plantation store, by Sawgrass).

I bought the 60 GB drive 2 days before the sale and did the pricematch. My store manager told me if I have any problems with the $50 MIR to bring in copies of receipt, UPC code, MIR form and they would pay the $50 rebate. Guess it pays to shop at the right store.

Pothead - What I am implying or now saying is that people, like yourself, are so quick
jump on a thread, that might be in the wrong forum, and play wannabe moderator and tell
them bluntly that it's in the wrong place and to take it elsewhere. This also is a newbie and
like rubenswm said - there is a "kinder" way to go about it! That's what I'm saying!

BTW - maybe if people would stop REPLYING to threads that are in the wrong forum,
they would just eventually drop off and maybe they wouldn't bother you so much!!

once when i was in band camp. I stuck a tuba in my instructors volkswagen yada.. it takes 10 seconds to post in correct fTOPIC of the CORRECT forum anyone can do it.. even newbies. for those of you WHO LIKE to hear about other peoples deals they created a post just for you.. HENCE THE NAME BRAG AND MOAN. I've never been in that post.. I could care less about some specific deal that was gotten 22 states away.

Since someone brought this up, I might sharing my "WD harddrive experience" on black friday.

I was @ local bestuy on the black friday for that WD 60G 5400rpm drive deal(149.99-50IR-50MIR)=49.99. I was FOURTH in the line but did not even TOUCH the drive before it was all gone. Me and my friends were so pissed so we decided to bring it to the general manager. General manager was kind enough to give us (we have 4 guys that day) rain check for that drive price $49.99 each, no rebate needed. We were pleased and left, but the following sunday, bestbuy has the 60G 7200rpm for 129.99. My friend decided to talk to the general manager again see that we can get this instead of waiting weeks for the 60G5400rpm. We told general manager that the 60G 5400 rpm drive costs 149 that day and today the 60G 7200 rpm costs only 129 today, we are willing to take the $129(7200rpm) drive instead of the $149 (5400rpm). Surprisingly the general manager say "It's fine with me if you willing to take the stuff less value". So four of us end up with 4 60G 7200rpm for 49.99 each (no rebate).

This is definitely a hot deal....... thanks bestbuy(manager???)
