i think i got my 40gb HD from staples for like $60 or $50 after rebate. maybe i even got it free!

I can't believe that BB actually did that. I was at the same one, on the same day, and I got jack... I was pissed about it, but that's life. BTW, that BB doesn't help customers like that often. I do agree with everyone else that this should have been put in brag and moan

I was at the same BB at Sawgrass too and it was a mad house. The line was ridicoulous. I am lucky though. I was able to get the hard drive early on Tues and get the difference refunded on Fri morning. It was hard to get the drive early though. I went Mon morning and there was none on the shelf but a bunch of WD drives stacked all the way on the top and I couldn't tell what size they were. I had a guy look up the drive and it showed 22 in stock. He was going to look at the ones at the top shelf when out of nowhere he said, "Oh yea I stocked those yesterday night and there was none of the drive you are looking for there. They are probably in the back so come tomorrow and they should be out." So I came back Tues morning and looked and again. None on the shelfs but the big stack on the top was there. I got a different guy to look at the ones on the top but none were the right one. All 40 gig and 18 gig drives. So I had him look up the drive and this time it showed an amazing 32 in stock. So I told him my story about the guy telling me to come back today and that they were in the back and that the guy said they would be out today and I got him to go look in the back. He takes awhile and said he couldn't find them and he was getting some other guy to look. It takes a while and I see this guy who looks like a higher up with a yellow shirt walking back and forth and then the rep and the higher up went through this door into this room. I saw a bunch of printers in there which were the Lexmark Z13's or Z23's that were goign to be on sale stashed in there. The guy comes out with a hard drive and says, "Here, it's the last one we got." Needless to say I was happy. When I went back Fri morning to get the price adjusted I first went to the shelves to see if there was any drives. There were none. I only saw 2 people walking around with them. I didnt hear about substituting any 40 gig drive for $50 or else I would have picked one of those up too.
