I was wondering why that news lady had so much eye shadow on, then BAM, this news dude takes over the prompter and he has even more eye shadow than the lady before him!

If he was UPS he would have just taken one of those "sorry we missed you" door tags, balled it up, and chucked it at the door.

UPS alternates between sneaking up and leaving those door tags when I'm home or dumping expensive electronics by my front door which faces on to a very busy street.

He would have gone Ninja Pro on that shit and sneaked around the whole trailer park and up to the door, then they all would have been like, "Oh damn, ghost UPS driver".

I feel sorry for whomever she is giving these as gifts. Windows CE Reliable Operating System with an ARM-8505 VIA processor.

CE stands for Crappy Edition.

Look out world, my computer can run notepad.

Yeah $200 toi ship them my ass. Who the fuck would be stupid enough to pay more to ship the laptops then what they are worth?

If they did in fact pay that much, then they almost deserved it.

So your logic is because since they paid an exorbitant amount of money to have an item shipped to them they should have lower service quality like the one seen in the video?

I don't know about you but if I am paying more for a service than I should expect the quality that comes with it. Not the other way around.

Don't FEDEX/UPS drivers make about 100K/year? Good thing the one's I've dealt with don't bother ringing the bell and just leave the package at the door.

That can't be right, can it? If so, I'm quitting tomorrow.

Some fedex ground drivers make that and more, though they have to purchase their own trucks and buy their routes, plus they work 60-70 hour weeks. its good money, but the burnout rate is pretty high.

Wow that's brutal. The worse thing that has happened to me was a UPS was dropped in front of my door, in the snow. But this was early in the morning so I saw it maybe like 5-10 minutes after it was dropped off.

I was really confused until I figured out you meant Uninterruptable Power Supply and not the United Parcel Service

Its not funny, its really not, but it does make you chuckle the way he just threw the box in the yard. But this happens all the time. I can't count the number of smashed packages that I have gotten from UPS, FEDEX, and USPS and no question the boxes were not taken care of.

You get a solid F for effort for this one Olds, cmon we know you're better then this.

The way the report is given, the reporter makes it sound like they paid $200 to ship the package with fedex. Since we know the "laptops" probably cost her no more then $200 total, then one would believe that it wouldn't cost that much to ship the items. I really blame the TV station for trying to over sell the fact that the FedEx guy fucked up.

Then again, if she truly did pay $200 to ship the damn things, then my original statement stands. A Fool and his or her money, is soon parted.

*edit*Yeah the reporter is saying at first, that the lady spent close to $200 to ship the laptops with fedex then later on says they spent $150 on the Laptops. Journalism at its finest. I can't believe this isn't something that the lady couldn't have handled by just going directly to FedEx instead of having the news station involved. If you have proof that they damaged it, show them, and then make then purchase you two new laptops problem solved. What were they hoping for by getting the news station involved?

The last two packages I received via Fedex went pretty much this way. Both boxes were marked "Fragile", and the driver threw them from the bottom of my steps to the door. It's about 6-8 feet, and luckily nothing was damaged, but I won't use them again. UPS has not been much better, several packages have arrived broken open. Again, nothing inside was damaged, but it's pretty sad when USPS has been doing better than Fedex or UPS.

What always gets me is when my mailman (USPS) is too lazy to drive up my driveway (about 400 feet) to drop a package by my door, and instead bends, squashes, and crams it into my mailbox.

I wonder if these types of problems are regional? Or maybe our drivers are have just attained Ninja Elite status? While I rarely see the FedEx or UPS driver the vast majority of our packages arrive safe and sound with minimal if any box damage (There was one package with a small issue but the product was horribly packed to begin with)
