Locating Photoshop Serial #

I'm about to reinstall photoshop on a fresh install of Windows but I just realised that I lost the serial#. Someone told me that I should be able to find the serial # in a folder on the cd but I have no idea where to locate it. Can someone please be kind enought to help me out?

The serial number is NEVER on the Photoshop CD. Since its currently installed, just look in HELP | ABOUT PHOTOSHOP and it will be right there on the upper right hand corner. It's also in the registry but no need to look there...

Photoshop is no longer on my computer since I've already formatted and installed winxp. The problem is now I have the program and no serial#. I want to know if there's a way i can locate the serial# by browsing through the cd with windows explorer?

I've gone through the installation files ( the ones that are copied to a temp directory ) with a hexeditor for some programs and I have 'found' some serial numbers, so you could try that.

RagingGuardian... In your case you will need to call (or email) Adobe with your request. They have a quick system for getting you the new serial number. Just make sure you have "proof of ownership" when you call them (or email).

Outside of that, there is no way to get that number off the CD....its just not in there.

You can do a search on Google.com, but you are on your own when it come to that one

You can also find it in the registry....HK_Current_User->Software->Adobe->Photoshop->6.0->registration
