Read the rules and you know why it was bad.
Unlike FW and other baords, this specific board is very strict on posting links to coupons, posting coupon codes, trading coupons or even asking for coupons.

Not too long ago a number of people got free "vacations" fot this sort of thing. Just be more careful in the future.

Best thing that may happen is that your thread gets locked, worst, well, that is up to the mod..

Yes i recently got a vacation and came back with no post count. A mod banned me for exposing him.

You have to watch what you do here, or you wont be able to post or reply and Say "REPOST" like everyone loves to do. Or say "no coupon codes" And say" You know where to get the codes" Bigpurse"

But then you should be there in the first place.

Sorry been here since Anand was at Geocites...Yes can you believe that. Hosted at geocities. Before the forum and I've gotten to see the rise and what I feel the fall of the site. Still a good resource but now overloaded with mods, flamers, and it's hard to even ask a serious question without weeding through all the useless comments. Bah..it's late and I'm rambling. What do I know anyways.

Well, I tend to think of AT more as of a tech based website which happens to offer ONE forum to discuss deals. I never thought of AT as the deals website, quite unlike FW.

Flame me if you want, but I believe in the fact that the owner of the website has the right to set rules. And if someone choses to violate those rules, well... Now if you don't like the rules or you think the forums are going down, just leave, there is no need to com here and moan how AT is going down.

At the same time I also agree that there seems to be an awful lot of flaming. Looks as if there are people out there cruising the forums, just waiting to jump on someone and reply to a post with "REPOST!". Kinda infantile, ain't it?

Ok, yes, I know this is off-topic for this forum, but so is the whole thread. I am surprised they let it go on. Mods asleep?

this thread is quite amusing... i lurked here for years... finally registered, and check the postcount... half the time, im restraining myself from killing people who are morons (present company excluded) ... the intelligence of the hardware community as a whole has fallen a TON in just the past year... let alone the past two...

The whole point is this is the ONLY site that I know of on the net that doesn't allow codes to be posted, PMed, or asked for. It's received a bad reputation across the net for banning people for useless things. So now we have a bunch of teenage moderators who got to be because their buddy was one and so on. So instead of a uniform system that is fair and equal you get the nick. Bantech

Shark I agree. This is due to the fact that at one time you have a select few that studied that IT/CS industry and were quite knowledgable in their area. Now everyone and their momma has jumped on the bandwagon, watered down the industry and they all know a little bit about nothing.
