Hey guys...
I recently upgraded my rig, and a friend of mine snagged all the parts that I wasn't using, and put together another box. It is virtually the exact same configuration I had been running fine for years, short of instead of a 470w Enermax Noisetaker, it is now on a 350w no-name that came with my Centurion 5 case years ago.
Anyway, the box in question has the 350w no name, matched 2x512 corsair xms 3200, asus A8V deluxe wifi edition, FX-53, audigy 2 plat, and a 6800 GT.
Like I said, this was almost the exact config that I ran for 2 years, without conflict... short of the PSU. My friend is reporting back me that its getting some random lockups after hours of being on. We've watched temps, and they are all in decent range... I'm open to any suggestions, but I was mainly just curious can a PSU cause this type of behavior? I'm going to have him unplug one of the IDE harddrives and a DVD-rom, and let him run the box like that for awhile...
Any other tests / tools / ideas?
