Brokers offering the closing of a refinance within a week and better rates than banks are full of shit. So you're saying that the "decision" to even try to take a mortgage will be made within a week, or you will actually close on a mortgage within a week? You must have some pretty slick AVMs that spit out any number you need to make a loan work.
This is the type of snake oil magic that has been sold to suckers for the past few years. You actually expect someone to put their social security number and full name in that website? I'm not sure if you're posting this is a joke or if you're pushing your new flavor of the day lending job. Hahah, closing a full refinance in a week, ahaha , you're a funny guy. Either way I'm sure wholesale LOs like yourself (or processor, whatever job you manage to hold) are making a decent buck until the defaults come around again. If they don't, then good for you. Though anyone with half a brain (likely not the majority of your clientele) can see through that.
I refinanced several mortgages in the past few months. All of the available financing is almost no brainer if you have some semblance of "equity" in your property. For those of you who are upside down in your mortgages, just wait until the government approves the refinancing of all mortgages with government backed money, likely through an arm of HUD/FHA.
Those of you who who are STILL holding ARMs, really, what the fuck were you thinking?
Maybe similar to the stock traders who thought the market would go up forever. But anyway, refinancing now is nearly a no-brainer for a large portion of the country. Though don't be hasty, rates aren't going to climb significantly any time soon.
