LOCKUP Resolved!!!!!!!

1.5 weeks of banging my head and after I installed the Hercules Prophet IIgts 64mb I have resolved my lockup problems. If you are having this problem check all of your IRQ settings. Most Nvidia cards like to share IRQs (in my case the sound card). One must go through all the bios flashes, driver upgrades, video card flashes and IRQ checks to resolve the problem. Most everyone is right who were replying to the pleads of help. You just have to do them all. I now have my card overclock, cpu overclocked and every is running damn fast and smooth....NO LOCKUPS. I can get X4AGP working. Its perfect (as a tear comes to my eye). Now I can stop my beer drinking binges in front of the computer while trying to solve this pain in the butt problem.

Hey congrats! A solution to a problem like that is always cause to celebrate.

Yep, irq issues are pesky and just the other day I had to fix a "crackly sound" issue for a friend. He just installed an SB Live! Platinum and it was sharing an irq with another device. After some juggling to get the SB Live! on a unique irq, all was well.

20 years of irq hell...you'd think by now we'd be beyond such a stupid limitation (we should be)?
