Hows it going? I have Debian 6 installed on my laptop and I ran into a problem where I can no longer login to see my gnome desktop. The problem is that I immediately get logged off as soon as I login. I have tried several times to login again but the process is redundant. What happened prior to this login logoff loop was a change in settings using the Cairo dock. I changed a theme, the screen flashed and took me to the login screen. Once I proceeded to log in as normal I was immediately returned to the login screen again and I have been stuck since. I have tried to google the problem but only for my searches to come out vague. My video card is a HD Radeon 3200. Is there a way that I can restore settings through virtual console crtl+alt+f1 or configure my video settings through this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I thank you in advance.
