I loved my Saitek so much I sent it back. The paint on it is too reflective, it took the monitor light and completely ambushed the backlighting. Looking at the logitech it appears they got it right.

I hardly see how the Saitek is better.

Is all that really necessary?

The LCD looks nice, but how many games will really be able to/willing to support it?

If people have good impressions I might look into getting one though...

The backlit keys are a big draw for me personally. The G5 mouse was a let-down for me, but maybe Logitech has gotten it right with this keyboard.

lol I'm not liking Logitech too much really. Am I the only one who has bought 2 products from Logitech to have them both go bad? I bought a Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital. What did it do? It was always off calibration. Next I got a Rumble Gamepad from them. What did it do? After a month the thing would calibrate fine and then swing one stick too the left in the game and keep it there. It was irritating being able to run to the left but only crawl to the right. I would unplug it and plug it back again. It would be fine for 10 seconds then do it again. My bro's Saitek gamepad never did that. I have never had a good experience with Logitech.

Looks kinda funky, but interesting. It's actually funny to see all the new products aimed at gamers these days. Is there any part of the computer interface that hasn't been turned into a "gamers edition" yet, besides those fuzzy little screen wiper dolls?

There aren't already enough keys on a normal keyboad to keep your left hand busy?

I would much rather have normal buttons than those cheap feeling rubber ones to open the calculator, explorer, etc. Apple has buttons for volume up/down/mute and cd-eject on their keyboards, and they're all features I find myself using all the time.

Looks cool, but im very happy with my Saitek Eclipse which only cost about $25 w/ friends BB discount unlike that one for $80. Either way nifty but i doubt too many games will support the lcd.

Ok, I'm not hating or anything, the keyboard is definitely nifty.... but from a practical standpoint... I have been playing quake 3 since the beta and I know for sure if i would look down to look at how many rockets i have.... i'm toast.... in fact the same goes for the backlighting.... i mean if you don't know what keys your fingers are on, you're probably toast

Of course you're not gonna look at the keyboard when you're playing a fps. I'd like to use the LCD for monitoring system temps and such and maybe for media player info..

Eh, backlit keys. Like I'm trying to game in the dark and I need to look at the keypad.

Oh I've been fragged.

It's only cosmetic. I'd rather have regular keyed keyboard that will still work if I accidently spilled Coca-Cola all over it.

i don't see how you can get much use out of this keyboard if you strictly play FPS games. MMOs is a different story altogether with programable macros and what not. as for the lack of games that make use of the LCD screen, that's what the homebrew apps are for. games like WoW are great for Add-Ons. it shouldn't take long for some creative person to make something up to take advantage of the LCD.
