The sound from it is supposed to be amazing. I bought one and cannot wait for it to show up.

Here is a quick review/overview of the speaker.

Cant go wrong with Logitech products

EDIT:

Well I got mine in finally and Im sad to report that my Emerson, which is now $40 at Big Lots, sounds almost as good. The Logitech has better highs, but other then that, they are both about as loud, the bass is pretty much the same, but the Emerson is $40+ cheaper and worth the loss in the highs to own. I got mine off Ebay so I cant return it so Im going to use it, but had I been able to hear the Logitech before I bought them, and not gone off reviews, I would of stuck with my cheap $40 Emerson. There might be a slight edge to the Logitech in bass, but its not worth it.

If interested the Emerson is Model #EBT2001. The Emerson also has onboard controls for skipping tracks and play/pause. The Logitech doesnt have any features other then on/off and volume. Also the Emerson can run off of 4 aa batteries which you can buy anywhere should you take it out and they go dead, or can use rechargeables in it and just swap them out as they go dead.

So all in all I really think the Emerson is a steal if your looking for one of these little portable bluetooth devices. Its got controls, good sound, runs off of regular aa batteries, and only costs $40 at any Big Lots. If it wasnt for the reviews and I had the chance to hear the Logitech in person, I would of stuck with my Emerson, and I may just swap back just to have all the controls since the Logitech hasnt got them. I said you cant go wrong with logitech products, well in this case you may be paying for the name when Emerson spanks it :O I mean come on, its a Emerson for cripes sakes Logitech, it whopped your ass. @ $150 new for the Logitech, IMO, youd be throwing your money away. The Emerson really is a nice speaker for its price.

EDIT 2:

Well if you should want a Emerson EBT2001 Big Lots no longer sells them, and flebay is your best chance of getting one.

I got one for $150 for my daughter for Christmas. I must say, I was impressed with the sound - especially for the size. "boom" is perhaps an overstatement, but nice sound for the money, size, and being wireless.

Bumping because they are back up to $150, and NE still has them, refurb though, at $82.99.

Once mine shows up I will compare it to my $20 Emerson I bought few days ago with 3" speakers and decent bass and highs. Though not really fair comparison for I only paid $20 at Big Lots for the Emerson, and I paid $98, new, for the Logitech off Eflay. But wtf

Too bad it doesn't look much like a boombox.

This TDK is much more expensive, but you can go all "In Your Eyes" with it.

Thats pretty impressive, but I dont think that would work out for me in front of my monitor. Needs to be kinda low profile so it wont take up any monitor real estate. What I like about my Emerson one. Small, not very tall, blends in with the surroundings.

I have the Logitech, and I had the Emerson. The Emerson died four days after purchase where the Logitech still works day after day in a construction environment. If I were to choose again I would buy two of the Logitechs and never bought that Emerson....

I used my Emerson every day since I got it, runs 7 days a week and 14-16 hours per day and I have yet to have a problem. I actually bought two of them, one for my wife, and hers has been chugging along as well.

I do have to say though, I been using the Logitech now for a few hours running everything through it, right now Pink Floyd Pulse, and it seems to sound better the more I listen to it. Also wired into my PC and playing music vs BT does seem to sound better.

i bought the big jambox for my parents, and the logitech for myself. the jambox sounded better IMO. but for what i want it for, the logitech was a good value refurb. initially was confused by the product listing. it says it comes with a remote, but thats only for the docked version, not the bluetooth version.

I think the cabinet on the Logitech is very inadequate. It's much to thin and light. I have the Creative Labs bluetooth speaker and it's pretty good and cheaper to boot.
