I ordered the Pro. Nice price for Overstock first timers. No Tax for Californians, that's a first in a while for me. And free shipping, total came to $53.77 for the Cordless Pro and mouse, glad I missed the CompUSA deal last week for $79.99 (reg. $99.99, even at Fry's).

Anybody that has one of these, I have a trackball that I like and don't want to use the supplies cordless mouse. Will I have a problem? And is the receiver for the keyboard and mouse 2 seperate units or one. I want to know if I can use the mouse on a different computer than the one with the Cordless keyboard.

I bought the cordless logitech keyboard and mouse set over a year ago and I love them. The mouse is as responsive as any other mouse I have ever used and the keyboard has never missed a key press (I wish I could say the same about me ).

I have only had to replace the batteries in the mouse once and never for the keyboard. These things come highly recommended.

GetInMyFatBelly: yeah, you can use the mouse without any problems. I'm using the logitech trackball with the keyboard off the same reciever.

If you buy them seperate for mouse and keyboard, you get two recievers (of course.) Buy them together, and you get one. They are detected when you format and load Win Me or Win98. I have them both, and they have to be two of the neatest things I have ever bought for the computer. And believe me, that list is very, very, long. They will work through a wall to show you how good the signal is.

The cordless kit I have (forgot what they call it, about 1.5 years old) has one receiver with two PS/2 wires out of it. You can forgo the mouse and use your own. To use the mouse only on a separate computer you will need an extension cable (PS/2 M-F), have both computers on (power is from the keyboard connection), and pray

Isn't this the same deal that came up a few months ago? If so, I seem to remember several people getting defective keyboards and/or mice. These are reconditioned units. Anybody buy one of the "regular" packages From Cutpost lately that can comment on what they got?

Just a word of caution though, if your item from overstock is faulty you will have to pay a restocking fee eventhough it was their fault, to return it. Pretty damn sh*tty but it happened to me. I'm never going to shop at overstock.com again.

I haven't had a problem with overstock... Their restocking policy should only be if it's your fault in some way, I remember getting all my money back for a purchase a while ago... I got my pro and mouse from them and they've worked fine for a while, and i don't forsee any problems...

oh and CA is charged tax, it's random because they ship from a bunch of different outlets i think and whichver one you get it shipped from decides whether or not you pay tax... i've paid tax on most of the orders i've made (only about 4 or 5 orders)

Interesting, if they have any type of B&M wherehouse and it's shipped from there, you should be charged tax, but I ordered one today and no Tax for CA for me.
