Nice Price!

Can someone tell me difference between this and the Cordless Freedom? Optical?

They look so similar & I always get them mixed up when pricing them.

I think the Elite Duo is the replacement for the Freedom Optical set. I bought the Freedom Optical set on closeout a month or so ago and now I only see the Elite Duo set. It looks very similar. The only thing that stands out to me is that the mouse is black with silver instead of a gun metal gray with silver. There might be other slight differences, but I think they are very close. This is a great deal btw. I got a smokin' deal with mine, but it was after a PM on a close out price and a rebate. I don't think you're going to do better than this.

BTW.. I don't see any good coupons that will work with this deal unless you spend $100 or more. Did you see a different coupon? Something for a $50 or $75 purchase?

What happened to the cordless freedom pro? I can't find it in any retail stores (e.g. Best Buy, Circuit City, OfficeMax, Staples, and Office Depot)....

Natural style is much more ergonomic and easier on the hands.

How is the mouse in this unit?

The mouse for the Cordless Optical Pro was pretty much useless for gaming. It was very poor at fast fine movements. Very jerky

Warning! I have one and it works great. Got if a couple of months back. Decided to order one from Buy.com for the same price $55 about 1 1/2 months ago.

What I got was a used and scratched setup, with missing documentation. I immediately returned it for credit, but the final cost to me was the return shipping that I paid, and no keyboard.

May not happen to you, but someone else here got the same crap as I did.

Could someone with this keyboard comment on its tactile feedback, if any, plz? I know it's pretty subjective, but is it just your average mushy keyboard? I'm currently using a IBM Model M keyboard, but am thinking about going fully wireless. Thx.

I have this set. The keyboard has a pretty good feel but will never match an IBM, Pooch. Also the mouse eats batteries. I go through 2 AA's about every 3 weeks. Can't comment much on gaming, but for general use it has been outstanding.

Re. the mouse. I have been using it for many months and really like it. It does go through batteries pretty quickly, but I got a set of NiMh rechargeables, and just pop in a fresh set when the Logitech software tells me the old ones are getting low.

Works great (except it's a battery killer).

Though my roommates and I have this set on three computers, and if computers are close together, we get interference...anyone else with the same problem?

I have the Freedom Optical set which is very similar. The keyboard is great. I had purchased this set when it first came out and the keys didn't seem right, so I returned it. I just got a great deal on a set about a month ago, so I bought it. This keyboard seems better. The Elite Duo is the replacement for the Freedom Optical, so my guess is that the keyboard would even be better yet.

BTW.. My keyboard doesn't eat batteries at all. The mouse does. I would either look at picking up a 20 pack of "AA""s on special or investing in a set of rechargeable batteries with charger. The Maha chargers and batteries are excellent at Newegg. I'm personally replacing my mouse with the MX700 that I got on special recently at Amazon. This should be a great combo. The MX700 uses a charger stand which will take care of the battery problem with the mouse.

It says,

"Rebate offer NOT valid at: Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, CompUSA, Circuit City, and Fry's Electronics"

on the rebate form .
