Logitech G15 Keyboard

I'm wondering if anyone here can help me in getting the media buttons working in Winamp. I've tried going into the prefrences and turning on Global Hotkeys, but all I get is an error saying it couldn't register the Stop, Play/Pause, Next, and Previous buttons. I've downloaded the latest drivers and the latest Winamp, but I still get this error, preventing those buttons from ever being used. It's not a big deal, and I couldn't care less if I never get them working. But it would be nice if I could at least figure out why they won't set. Anybody have any clue?

I have read a few guys have had new units sent to them from Logitech. I have one of the newer versions, and so far it seems like they have the problem fixed.

I would contact Logitech if I were you. Would probibly be your best bet.

can someone help me out with my G15 i cant seem to get anything on my lcd screen apart from the clock and the performane monitor with the cpu and ram, after reading CodeBasher's post i would love to know how i can get everythign else to show up, i cant even get song info to stay up when im playing a song... when i go into my programs for the lcd display i only have the standard 4 programs there
can someone please help me

Welcome to Anandtech!

I've been reading the all the things you can do with the keyboard on G15Forums.com. BF2 Server Stats, Images, System stats, Winamp, Fraps, ET, etc. So much to choose from. If you install LCD Studio you can put just about anything on the LCD.

MrDevo - In options have it not to autocycle the apps.

i play cod uo and cod 2 so im spewing there isnt any aps for it yet
i just got some matrix thing for the g15, it came in a zip file full of xds and bitmap files, what do i do to get it working,
also i try to run LcdStudio and i get The application failed to initialize properly, can someone please help me

Sorry, didn't see your post until now. If there is a new revision out, I'll definitely call them up and get a replacement. This 2 key has been getting increasingly worse over the last month and the 8 and 9 keys are also starting to show the same effects.

After several months of use, I have experienced the same problem. It's very dissapointing to see a quality issue like that on a logitech product.

On the bright side, I called their tech support last week and asked to RMA the keyboard for the problem. They gave me no issues and I'm expecting a replacement Key Board in a couple of weeks, free of charge.

Nope, They just asked that I scratch off the serial numbers from the old keyboard once I get the new one.

The whole RMA process was pretty painless and assuming I get the keyboard in the timeframe they said, I'll be very satisfied with the customer service.

thats a pretty nice response from logitech. I just ordered mine from ZIPZOOMFLY. 67 bucks shipped. Im pretty sure the frist thing i look at will not be the LCD but the keys, Im interested in seeing the quality of the paint, or weather it is paint at all.

But it is definatly nice to know that logitech is backing up there products.

Comparing it to the saitek keyboard.: The G15 is a wider keyboard to accomodate the 18 programable keys on the left side

The G15 has 3 modes, making it 56 programable keys

My 0 (zero) key is not working half the time or its sending bad signals. Not the numpad 0.

Example, if I hit 0 ten times I get the folllowing

It appears some presses do not register, and some register as more than one press. The 9 key sometimes has problems as well as I found out many times in BF2 when my parachute would not open.

I guess I'll call on Tuesday to see about a RMA. Otherwise I like the keyboard.
