Yes, there is a button just under the display that lets you select what you want to see on the screen.

Just got this home today to try out. It's ginormous. Takes up my entire keyboard tray.

So far the keys aren't that resilient which tires out the fingers. The backlight is fantastic, miles better than the Saitek Eclipse. Overall I'd rate it a 7. Great for the uber gamer, probably too much for the average one. I hope they roll the backlight over into the rest of their new boards because it really is the best one I've seen.

I'm thinking of getting one as well. I saw it on Amazon for $60 but it's really tiger direct. ZipZoomFly has it for $10 dollars more though and I have heard bad things about tiger direct. I am wondering if I should spend the $10 and get it form ZipZoomfly or is tiger direct okay because there is no rebate. Thanks

Sure thing:

21 1/2 in W X 9 in T at it's widest points. That is with the LCD screen down.

For reference my MX 3100 keyboard, which is enormous already, is only 18 1/2 in wide.

Yes it's sh!t and the LCDMon.exe crashed the profiler every time, making the LCD worthless.

It looks like when the LCD is closed down, it covers up some stuff. Are those the volume controls?

I might not have enough space in front my monitor to keep the LCD opened up (and actually don't have much use for it), but everything else about this keyboard is perfect.

Volume, media player controls. That's what gets covered up by closing the LCD. But, you shouldn't have a problem with it. My keyboard tray doesn't offer a lot of room, but, I can keel the display open with no problem.

Yeah, mine only seems to crash when I open up WMP, so I think I am going to try turning off the media portion of the program and see if that helps.

For those of you having problems with the keyboard lcd software, I would suggest that you consider that your current OS/software setup might be the problem. The software that Logitech ships with the keyboard has been running stable on my K8N-E Deluxe system under both 32bit and 64bit XP Professional and it also runs stable on my roomates A7N8X-E Deluxe system under 32bit XP Pro. Too many people automatically assume it is the software that is the problem and that is not always the case. Never hurts to update/reinstall chipset drivers, check windows file versions, or even do a complete backup/rebuild of the OS and associated software before putting the blame on one program.

I noticed under the LCD settings where you choose if the LCD switches between Clock, CPU/RAM and media display automatically or if you have to switch it manually that there is something called "use Klever-VU technology" that you can check under the automatic setting. Does anyone have a clue what that does?

Well, i finally got mine today! It's such a nice keyborard. The LCD software is a bit buggy though, but when it works, it wors great. When it dosn't work, well that's another story. So when you complain about the LCD software, just remember that when you are on the cutting edge, expect to be cut. Oh, and klever- VU just cycles what is on the LCD ater a few seconds. You can have it cycle between CPU/RAM usage, clock and currnet track. I have mine set to cycle the values every 5 seconds.

But if you uncheck the Klever-VU it does exactly the same thing. It still cycles through all the stuff after however many seconds you set it to.

I have to say, I haven't had any problems from the software. I have my LCD settings on Manual - Use LCD Controls to Switch and Immediate display of High Priority Items. I hated the rotating display.

When I'm in "work mode", I use the Clock display. When I am gaming, I either use the FRAPS portion or the CPU/RAM usage. When I'm in EverQuest or any MMORPG, I use it to display my Media Player track info.

I'm pretty happy that new mods are coming out for the keyboard as well. I'm really hoping for a Ventrilo add in at some point.

Just got one Friday.......Here's MHO:
1. The "G" keys are pretty good for gaming vs "WSAD". Takes a little getting used to though.
2. Takes up some real estate on the keyboard tray and it has a downward/forward slope to it unless you prop up the front feet....that just kinda makes it level.
3. Backlighting is good w/o blinding you.
4. Keys have a clickety (old school) feel to them.
5. Keys seem a little small compared to my old MX 700 Duo keyboard.
6. LCD is neat but kinda useless at this point w/o software support for games (G15 "Gaming Keyboard?")
7. Palm pad/rest has a nice feel to it....not a hard plastic feel.

Bottom line--Would I pay $70 for it again......prolly not.

I would never buy one of these again knowing what I know now. I bought it on october 23rd, by november 1st 4 of the keys wore off, and right now I cant see the letters on 6 keys and a third of my space bar is rubbed off. It wouldn't be so bad if just the letters wore off, but the entire black surface on top of the keys wears off and it looks horrible. I still haven't adjusted to the macro keys being on the edge of the keyboard either, so I mistype alot The LCD is beautiful though and the only reason I'm still using it instead of replacing it.

I'd love to get it, but I'm afraid it's just too large for my keyboard tray... There would be no room for the mouse. I'm thinking Saitek Eclipse instead.

just got one, used it for maybe a day or two and while I like it im kinda similiar in complaints

1) the hot keys are kind of a nuisance for normal typing (lot of missed strokes)
2) the backlight is AWESOME
3) the lcd is cool, when it works --my periodically goes in and out,, and I have yet to get access to the perfomance module, all I can get to work is the clock lol--I assume its a motherboard incompatability
4) it is large but its not that bad
5) not worth the $80 at best buy I paid

all in all a nice keyboard, but Id wait a few months till the second round of drivers came out, the hot keys, and lcd software are rather buggy IMO

definitely not the best route for the asrock dual 939 sata board
