I was in the middle of a game, and all the sudden the mouse just stopped working properly.
It's weird, I can move the mouse around and get normal response, but the left click seems like it just died. And it's only intermittent, sometimes I can click but if I sit there clicking over and over it won't click sometimes.
It could be that the plastic just wore down, and the click is weak and I need to press harder. But I've had that happen lots of times and it was never so abrupt like this.
also when I drag for selections, it just cuts out and restarts and starts dragging from where ever it left out.
I did a warranty claim through logitech and I got a G500 as a replacement as the g3 and all the other good mice were discontinued.
So I was wondering if I can take apart the g500 and put the stuff inside into the g3 case, as I hate the shape, size, and weight of the g500.
Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? Or can someone point me to another site/forum where they would?
Alternatively, I'd be willing to sell/trade the g500 for a g3, g1, or MX300 or something.
