AVEROX I had the mx1000 as well but after getting this g7 it is big dif, the mx1000 is way to fast at default and the lack of any changing on fly is not worth it. I really loved that mx1000 too and thought it was the ****** till I got this g7 I even had bought a second mx1000 for my second computer. Now I need to sell that and get another g7 for sure. I never used the second mouse button on the side anyhow so big deal. Only complaint I got compared to the mx1000 is that this mouse if your hand sweats can slip little as its does not have that rubbery feelling like the mx1000. Don't know why they change it to all plastic. Also love the battery on the g7 better then the built in one on the mx1000 I would always forget to put that mouse on charger and then run out and have to wait for it to charge back up. This one you run out and grab the second battery that was charging while you used the other and you never forget to charge it cause you put it right in charger as you take other one out.

just to check. Buying it from Amazon with it saying "Shipped from Tigerdirect" is OK on the rebate, right?

BTW, the G7 is now back in-stock directly from Amazon.com -- for those not wanting to take a chance on Tiger Direct. Although, Amazon also has raised the price by $45 to $99.99, still with free shipping.
Logitech G7 Laser Cordless Mouse from Amazon.com
Oh, I've noticed a pattern in most on-line complaints concerning the G7's battery life. It seems those who either rapid or boost (2hr.) charge their batteries, keep the transponder at a great distance or extremely obstructed, and use their computers intensively experience the greatest decrease and eventual diminishment in battery times.... which makes sense.

Help me with my decision! I have an MX518 (came from MX700). Do I need to upgrade to either of these? And if I do, which? I wish this wasn't such a hot deal - I wouldn't have to make a decision!
