This is dead now isn't it? Amazon says "sold by and shipped by Tiger Direct" which almost seems to imply the rebate is no longer valid. It also is not linked on the site anymore.

rebate's good for any G7/G5 purchased on Amazon between 3/14 and 3/20. Even if they try to hide it from us, we have it linked. i actually have it saved, so if they pull it from the site altogether i can email you a copy. As for TigerDirect, you can try buying from them through Amazon. Might get the rebate, might not. We've got conflicting stories on that one. It's also available sporadically direct from Amazon. I got mine in one of the later waves, after it had sold out and come back a few times...

So keep checking back between now and the 20th to see if they get more

I called the rebate center and received an identical response. Buying directly from Tiger Direct, invalid rebate.... buying from Tiger.com through Amazon.com, valid rebate. I'm going to make sure to include the Amazon.com confirmation e-mail, just in case.

If you bought through Tiger Direct from Amazon and are still worried. Go to your order summary at Amazon, and select "Need to Print an Invoice?" That invoice won't list Tiger Direct at all on it.

I already have a great mx1000 in excellent condition. Is it worth upgrading to a G7? I dont really seem to use the thumb buttons often so it wouldnt make much of a deal breaker for me. I like the extra battery packs, thats a great idea. Any reviews from people that have owned both?!

Just called Logitech Rebate Center and spoke to a woman named Kris. She informed me that as long as I bought the G7 thru Amazon.com, it didn't matter what company fulfilled the order that the rebate was still valid. With Logitech being really easy to get in touch w/ unlike other rebate fulfillment places, I don't feel too worried if I check online to see an issue w/ my rebate to have to call them to correct it. Just my two cents...

In for a G5! I dont like the one side button either but I figure i'll get used to it for 25 bucks. Didnt want the G7 after the terrible experience
with the 5 pound lag monster aka mx1000.

I think the G7 should be pretty light given that it is using some VERY light weight batteries. I'll let you know when I get mine. $19 for a G7 is worth just testing it out.
