I have bought a few items from buydig without any problems. Shipping is usually pretty quick too.

Has anyone here used both the G5 and G9, and how do they compare? I love my G5 and I'm not sure I would like the flatter body on the G9. It kinda looks like a Razer and I hate the feel of those.

To be honest, I think the best way to see if you would like the feel of the G9 in your hand is to just head over to a store and try it out. Just remember that the G9 has two different shapes depending on which rubberized grip you use (or three if you don't mind using it without a grip). I like mine with the smaller rubber grip since it has a good shape for me when I finger mouse (if it's any help, I use size L nitrile gloves at work...).

I picked up another G9 from amazon with this new rebate in case my current one fails since I've grown to enjoy it

Couple hours ago they say "be in stock by 6/19" something like that can't remember. I just check on amazon now they say "Usually ships within 3 to 5 weeks" and which is weird, maybe a error.

I have both and find myself using the G9 more. It's nothing like a Razer, trust me! I've owned a Copperhead, Lachesis, and DeathAdder. The only one I really liked was the DA because its shape is a lot more conventional.

The G9's shape is unlike any other mouse I've used, but it's different in a GOOD way! Going back and forth, I like how my fingers sit lower on the G5 -- my hand feels more natural and I feel as if I have more control with my grip, which lends itself to increased accuracy.

I usually roll with the smaller grip.

Don't forget that Logitech has excellent customer service - odds are you can just get a free replacement if your current mouse fails. When my MX518's right click started to feel a little weird, they sent me a brand new one even though my warranty had expired a few weeks ago (best of all, the replacement they sent was the "upgraded" MX518 with the 1800DPI sensor and better pads). I didn't even have to send back the old mouse.

I can't believe you can hear that :^D

I didn't think it whined until I pressed it against my ear. Sure enough, it's making noise. I'm usually sensitive to that kind of thing, but my computer room's on the loud side, so I guess it gets drowned out.

Thank you OP,

With all the high praise for this mouse here, I could not resist,

thanks too all the reviewers also.

Shows price is down to $23.99 AR now

Should of waited till this morning instead of buying before bed last night.
I wonder if they will credit me the difference?

Do you mean "out the door"? And doesn't "out the door" mean BEFORE rebates?

I bought a G9 awhile back, didn't like it so I gave it to my mother, I prefer my G5. Read the Newegg reviews on the G9, if you hold your mouse in a claw style then G9 works, but if not you will probably not like it. Good mouse for gaming, but not that great for a general all around use mouse.

What's "claw style"? Do you mean finger mousing (versus palming)? Oh well, guess I'll find out later today.

I actually prefer smaller mice that you move with just your fingers, where the heel of your hand sits on the desk / mousepad. Had a MX510 once (a palm mouse) and didn't really care for it.

I think you'll like the G9. I've actually found it to be a bit more comfortable for me to use than my G5 and MX518, as the lower button profile allows my fingers to sit lower beneath my wrist. The palm-style mice cause my fingers to sit above my wrist which was causing a tingly sensation during longer sessions (gel wrist rest ftw).

Experiment with the grips...you may prefer the smaller one, and while the grip is slightly different from the G5 it's nowhere near as claw-like a grip as something like a Copperhead or Lachesis.

Totally recommended for $24, and even much higher.

UPS guy just brought me my mouse . Oddly enough, so far I kind of prefer the mouse without either of the two grips (i.e. using just the bare mouse). With either of the two grips, the mouse is noticeably wider than a Diamondback but slightly shorter.

I love the smooth rubberized grip, 1600dpi mode, and my LED is blue now =)

I tried using all the 7g weights and after about 5min my wrist was killing me, so no weights for me. The braided usb cable is kinda nice. The customizable buttons are nice.

Dang it, I had to order one since the price is so good. I even have two new in box G5's sitting in my closet... guess they don't really go bad so you can never have to many.

I figured those weights might be kind of useful in L4D for rapidly shooting the pistols without your aim wandering around from all the clicking. Have to agree that they felt kind of fatiguing though.

I just spent a few hours in L4D using mine, and at this point, I think I'm going to keep it grip-less (it's about notebook mouse-sized without one). The only real disadvantage to using it that way is that the thumb buttons are recessed, but I'm kind of used to that from the Diamondback 3G, which has a tiny thumb button area.
