The price is quite good, I think this is a discontinued model since the logitech website doesnt feature this model. I have the 688 model and it works great.

Wow the price really dropped on these remotes, not too long ago they were $100+.

I have it also and it is a very nice remote. I found the setup quite easy and it has great signal strength and width which is important for me cause it needs to turn on a few different things in different areas of the room. For example the dvd player receiver and projector to "Watch a DVD". The projector is rear ceiling mounted and the others are in a cabinet on the side. I have never had a problem getting them to come on together. Macros are great. Highly recommended.
This one is an older model and does not have as many buttons (fine for me) If you need more look at other models.

It would have to have a RF sensor. If you have something like the Audigy 2 box, then yes you can control your pc.

You mean IR sensor don't you? This doesn't do RF. If you have a remote that controls your computer now I am sure that this would control it. From the setup page, (see below)these are three choices of devices you can program it for. Under each of the 3 different choices there are many different manufactures to choose from.It is a very flexible remote. It will also learn from other remotes if it isn't in the online database. I went to add a remote light controller, and thought that it would never have it, but it was there and works flawlessly.

Device Type Description:
Computer
Laptop
Media Center PC

Sorry...yeah I meant IR

What remote light are you using? Not sure what's good. I was going to get some dimming on over at smarthome.com

It is just one that I picked up at home depot. I am not sure if it is the best one or not, but it is what I found and works well enough for me. Tthe brand is Commercial Electric. It replaces your light switch and has a small IR receiver above alarge flat switch. It comes with a small white two button remote. You can turn it off or on with the switch or remote with one push and also dims or brightens to whatever level you want. To dim or brighten you just hold it in till you reach the desired level then release. It remembers your last setting. Pretty cool really and it wasn't expensive either... I can't remember exactly but less than $20 for sure.

I got mine yesterday. It controls all my equipment, including my Phillips Tivo. Don't know if that means DVR.

It works great. My only complain is the numberpad doubles as arrow keys.

I'm sure it does but as noted before the remote lacks buttons which makes cumbersome to control one.
