BTW, ithink CC has the 880 for 149 as well (but I guess you have to pay tax and or shipping). Not too bad for local pickup.

it's programmable, so anything that uses an ir receptor should be abale to be replaced...

While I haven't done that specifically, I don't have any IR devices that it doesn't work with. I use it for my ceiling fans and can steer my Roomba with it, so I'd say a laptop wouldn't be a problem.

Also, it has a learning port, so you can point your laptop remote into the 880, and it will learn the signals.
