Well, i finallly decided to get one We had this sale at work, & i couldn't resist the desire to get it.

I have to admit, it's gotta be the sexiest mouse i've ever used

Perfect ergonomic shape for my hand, even much better than the MX-510.
I figured i'd use it as my main mouse, & use my 510 specifically for games.

I still find my MX-510 to be more precise with fast movement, & while i really love the shape & design on the MX-1000, I am going to return it, since i realized i really don't like having to use two different feel mice in one sitting.

I still think the MX-510 is the best gaming mouse out there. Period.
For non-gamers, this MX-1000 would be great.

Better yet, maybe they can make a corded version

Just switched from MX700 to 1000. First thoughts: Wow--1000 looks gigantic and clumsy. Well, it's just not so. Once it's in your hand, it feels small, more compact and speedier. I am a big fan. Logitech does a good job of bringing new products to the marketplace. Logitech is getting better and faster at it.

That's my 2 cents

Hello.
I have the MX1000 for a few days and working with it was nothing but discomfort.
It's too small for my hand and it's "thumb rest" doesn't help at all. I can't grab the mouse, I'm just moving it with the top of my fingers and because it's heavy my hand gets tired very fast.
Oh, did you check the back of the mouse? Mine has some cracks and scratches (I have a 2 years old optical Microsoft mouse that looks better) I've asked to see another one and looked almost the same. For a 100$ (yes this is the price in my country) this mouse sucks.
I'm curious if you guys found the scratches on the back because I'm really thinking of returning it.

(Parallel port?)

I've noticed, independent of the update-rate of the USB device, a sort of "lag" from my USB optical mouse at times. I assume that is caused because of the fact that on most PC's, USB takes some CPU cycles to process. I actually much prefer using a PS/2-port mouse for gaming, because the PS/2 ports have their own dedicated IRQ, and dedicated micro-controller in the core logic to process data packets. Plus, you can tweak the update rate up to 200Hz, which isn't possible with USB. (At least with the stock OS USB controller and USB HID mouse device drivers, are there 3rd-party ones that can?)

In some applications, those LED power indicators can take more power than the device itself. I sincerely hope that isn't the case here. (Newer GameBoy Color units removed the LED to save power.)

Get the USB patch, my usb is running at 250mhz, just search for usb patch 1.1, you can find it at majorgeeks.com

Just picked up one of these and I'm using right now.

SWEET mouse.

And I LOVE the fact it's rechargeable, unlike my POS Microsoft cordless!
