The point of it was to show anytime you lifted the mouse up and put it down the MX1000 won't recognize it for a little bit - in games that will kill you. Try it with your mouse now... see? The cursor moves. It doesn't budge AT ALL with the MX1000 for many people. Stay FAR away unless you buy it with a good return policy (I had to pay 15% restocking fee at CompUSA!).
These are my findings,
No.1: the mouse if not moved does not power down until 5 seconds after , even if you lift the mouse well off the mat and keep it in the air ,no gamer keeps his mouse in the air for 5 seconds, not unless he`s trying to use his laser on air to air targets .
No.2: even after the full 5 seconds in the air, when I put it down it responds straight away,I`ve tried many times to reproduce the actions in the video clips, but find it impossible.
Did Logitech bring out a new REV version? Your guess is as good as mine,I do know with all the latest reviews around the net there has been no lag problems, the only downside to gaming with the MX1000 IMHO is the weight, which you do get use too after awhile,it`s about 2 ounces heavier then the MX510.
