wait, so does the mx518 have the side-scroll scrollwheel feature? I'll upgrade if it has that, otherwise I'm sticking with my 510.

oh and for logitech users - check out Logigamer if you haven't heard of it:

http://www.logigamer.com/

Basically lets you change the functions of the buttons depending on the app, like the MS mice. Handy tool.

It's just you.

No I'm kidding, I saw one at Best Buy. It's just made to look like dents, it's smooth in person.

Does it have the same nasty smooth [lack of] texture as the MX510? I use an MX500, and I tried an MX510, but it was so perfectly smooth that it made my hand feel sweaty and clingy even though I hardly ever perspire...I have like 3% body fat. So, I stuck with my MX500. I like its texture much better.

I bought the Diamondback Razer a while ago, but didn't like it. It felt too sensitive and small for me, so I got rid of it and hope this one will be better. If not I guess I'll just stick with my Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0

can you elaborate on what it means to be uncontrollable? is it too sensitive? i take it that its not something you could fine tune with sensitivity settings. i had briefly thought about getting one when it hits the shelves, but strangely my broken mx300 came back alive just a few days ago

No, it doesn't have the left-to-right tiltwheel. And although I blew a 10 dollar reward cert on this, I just know that once they feel they've made enough money on this mouse, they'll fuggin' come out with a corded version of the MX1000... :|

Thanks op. I had a $15 cert that expired today so I grabbed one. I almost forgot about the cert for spending $100+ in amazon electronics (shuffle).

The MX1000 doesn't have batteries in the removable sense, it has an internal lithium cell that supposedly gets excellent life per charge.

the mx700 might get like 2-3 days of heavy use. the 1000 supposedly pulls 2 weeks.
