My mouse is really messed up I think. A few days ago, it started disconnecting and reconnecting in a matter of 2-5 seconds. I would be playing counter-strike and it would just stop and it'd make the usb sound of disconnecting and reconnecting. I didnt really mind it until last night. I was playing a half life mod called the specialist and it did it a lot. I couldnt do anything because it was so late so I waited until today. I was browsing the internet and it did it once or twice. Once I went into counterstrike, it did it about 7 times in less then 5 minutes. I am really mad now and I don't know if its a virus/spyware, problem with my mouse, problem with my usb ports, or problem with my computer. Anyone else have this problem or a solution to it? My mouse desktop messanger is also messed up and I had to uninstall it. I still have setpoint on though.

Have you tried plugging it into a different USB port?

sounds like a break in the cord somewhere - a mouse in the one computer lab here at the university did that, it was a broken wire. Windows makes the hardware disconnect/connect noise because that wire is essentially "unplugging" the mouse from the computer for a moment. You notice it in gaming more because you are moving the mouse alot more, so the bad connection gets wiggled more. I'd try it in another USB port just to double-check.

I already tried two usb ports so its probably a break in the cord. Would I be able to send it in and get a new one if I got it in november?

I would give Logitech a call, see what they can do for you.
