They're either trying to convince themselves as much, because they blew $70 on it (I was once part of this group...) or they don't play games in which mouse speed matters. If you play first-person shooters, the mouse sucks. Sorry.

THERE IS A DELAY ADDED BY THE WIRELESS ASPECT OF THE MX700. It's not huge, but it's enough.

How renewed are these..do there products usually look used??

$40 with free shipping for the MX duo combo is a nice price....but I do not want one that looks used

BTW I game(I am not pro gamer by any means and I am not so sensitive to small delays and complaints of others)...I love this setup MX DUO Elite....

If you need every possible performance gain for your games..I am sure you will find something to complain with the wireless setup but I love the freedom and I do get the intial wake up lag but I am just not sensitive in games to see a lag or issues

The mouse is heavier than a corded one because of the batteries....

I bought the mouse from them. It arrived FILTHY!!! Looked like someone who ate greasy food all they long used this mouse for a year straight. Anyways, after some thorough cleaning this mouse looks almost like new and works great.

I'd say the LAG issue is in your imagination! If it does exists it's so small that most people wouldn't care. I also have a MX1000 and am happy with it.

I don't even see how you guys run out of battery with these. Do you guys not sleep? Or do you forget to put them in their charger? The only time I've had my mouse come close to dying is when I left for a week and a half without putting it in the charger and then coming home to use it.

It exists, it's not huge, as I said, but it's there. Many casual gamers probably won't notice the difference, but those who care about every last detail of their setup should.

Don't mislead people because you aren't bothered by it. I own and use both an MX510 and MX700 and the difference is very noticeable. I dare you to go to Best Buy and pick up a 510 and try them on the same system and tell me that you can't tell the difference...

I haven't used an MX1000, so no idea if they fixed the lag.

i have had the mx500 for a while and got used to it. I thought there was a lag with the mx700 when I first got it, though in the end I think there is no lag but that because the mx700 feels a tad heavier, it feels a little slower? i dont know, just a theory. I did compare the mx700 and mx500 side to side with the same settings, while both were plugged into my computer, and that was my conclusion.

 for the MX700.

I have no idea what you mean by "lag." It responds quickly for me.

thanks for the heads up.. got the duo deal

ordered one, they had it shipped a day or two after via UPS.. tack on 5 days for Ground shipping

came in a smaller box which also came in a well protected box (a HUGE one at that..), since it's a refurb, all items and peripherals were unwrapped except for the keyboard. all were in great condition and everything seems to be working fine so far, great mouse&keyboard.

Agreed that the lag is there. I owned both MX500 & 700 and *there* is difference in response speed between the two. Added the fact that the MX700 is heavier, it become more apparent. The best solution is to try for yourself. Some people might feel it, some might not.
Another thing to MX700 owner to try, move the mouse as fast as if someone shoot you from behind (especially if you're a low sens player). My MX700 couldn't handle it if i'm playing cs, and got dizzy . My MX500 with the same movement doesn't suffer the same problem. The optics might be the same, but the result (at least for me) isn't.

I would need to compare them side-by-side to say for sure, but as far the science goes:

The RF and corded connections should be identically fast. Electrical impulses traveling down a wire and radio frequencies both travel at the speed of light. There should be absolutely negligible delay in converting RF back to pulses (on the order of millionths or billionths of a second). The two mice sample at the same rate, and Logitech says that the optical mechanisms are the same.

So I'm not sure where the lag, if it exists, comes from. Anyway, don't think that it's "just got to have lag" because it's wireless.
