My MX1000 mouse went and had a fatal seizure last week. The cursor would randomly jump to the top of the screen which really sucks if you're in middle of making a complicated selection in photoshop. Logitech sent me the MX Revolution. Schweet.

I agree! My Revolution MX just went on the fritz a few days ago (charging issues, I'm not the only one), but it's within the warranty and they responded to the customer care email within a day. Hopefully I'll be set with a new mouse by year's end.

Too bad I'm not getting an upgrade

Nice deal. I want to get a Revolution and it looks like a sick mouse but I'm so hung up on my MX700 I can't let it go

My MX1000 died a bit back and they sent me a Rev MX as well. I was upset when on the phone on my original call cause they longer offered the MX 1000 separately anymore and was only in a combo.

I hated the Rev MX and just keep in the closet as an emergency backup mouse now. I'm using a G7 and it's ok, but it likes to randomly just lose connection and I have to unplug and replug the USB receiver back in so it starts working again. Thinking of picking up a G5 possibly

I had that problem for a short while with my G7. Have you installed the latest setpoint drivers? I don't have the issue anymore.

Had to send in my G5 a couple weeks ago, they already have the newer 2007 G5 model shipped out to me. I couldn't find my receipt either. I should be getting it next week sometime. Their support is excellent.

I thought MX1000 > Revolution

I'm using the MX 1000 and have a boxed Revolution sitting and waiting to be used.

The MX700 was superior to my new MX1000. The MX Revolution is a piece of junk and I can't stand using it. Bleck.

I love my LX5. My parents had a logitech "ergonomic" mouse about 6 years ago, and after using it for awhile it really screwed up my hand. If I tilted my hand to the right, my thumb would stay in the same spot and not follow the rest of my hand. It was weird. And yes, I know what some (most) of you will say the cause of this weird hand tendon problem was, so go ahead, get it out of your system.

My poor MX 700 still feels great but the batteries are shot and no replacements I put in seem to charge properly. Still love the thing though.

ah yes, the bi-annual logitech return thread. Good to see they're still offering top-notch service. I haven't had to have a replacement sent out in about a year, we''ve spent about $3k on logitech products this year. I heart logitech

although they sent me an MX3200 as a replacement for the MX DUO *shakes fist*

good thing I found a bunch of MX1000's new on clearance for $15 each

call logitech, they don't require a reciept, just let them know you bought it within the last 3 years at a major retailer. they'll send you a revolution most likely.

Hmm.. I have an MX1000 which occasionally de-selects when I'm clicking and dragging. Doesnt really bother me that much, but maybe I should give this a shot. So they dont require proof of purchase? Also, do they send a new mouse first and we send our old one back in their packaging... or vice versa?

Is the MX Rev really that bad compared to the 1000?

The MX5000 keyboard\mouse bluetooth set is the worst piece of consumer electronics I've ever owned. Ever. I had a microwave that would set itself on fire from time to time. The MX5000 is worse than that. Much worse.

They have a good replacement policy because they have to. Their stuff is made like garbage. I had 4 mice / KBs fail within a few months of use each. They replaced them all, no questions asked, even paying shipping... but why go through the hassle? I bought a Razer Diamondback about 2 years ago and it's still good as new. Using it right now.

Yup. When my old Logitech MX for Bluetooth (which was a reliable, good kb\mouse set) did after 3 years, they sent me an MX5000 set. After a couple weeks, and trying new drivers\setpoint, I called them and complained that it always disconnected, repeated keys, lagged the mouse, etc. No problem, they sent me another one... that's just as crappy. Look on their forums, or search online. I've never seen so much negative stuff said about one item as the MX5000.

After years and years of buying Logitech, I'm going Microsoft for my next bluetooth mouse\kb set.

Yea Logitech products break 50% of the time. They are also made of the cheapest plastics available and marking them up significantly. They could probably sell you 4 mice at the same price and still make profit.

I used to have an MX700 which I loved until the day it died. Bought a Revolution MX and have really enjoyed it. The thumb scroll wheel is pretty useless, but I do like the ability to toggle the main wheel between free spin and "ratchet" mode.

Overall, I definitely like the RevMX. The MX700 was my first love though...

I gave up using my MX1000 a few months ago. It was a good mouse, but it sure was heavy.
