Wow, I have to say with Logitech I've encountered one of the best warranties/customer service in quite a while.

My G7 side button stopped working and I called their general support line, getting through within a minute. The guy was cheery and helpful, I describe the problem and he tells me right away that they'll ship a replacement.

The only thing he needed was the model #, part #, etc. and he told me it'll take 5-7 business days to ship me a brand new one!

This is amazing, they didn't even need to check my receipt and didn't question/hassle me in anyway.

Just wanted to let Logitech know, and everyone, that they are the best in warranty/customer service I'm a happy customer!!

yup, happened when I needed to get a new sub, it broke--the left side wouldn't output.

they send me a new sub, new tweeters, new ac adaptor, and all of te other cables, so I have a whole new setup minus a sub, because all they wanted back was the broken sub.

love em!

So is MS when it comes to peripherals. I had a mouse that was acting up that was OUT of warranty, and called them anyways... and they sent me a brand new one (updated one in fact, since the older model was long gone). Belkins too, had a problem with a keyboard... called them up, and they made a call to a local Staples right then and there, so that i could take it to my local Staples to get it replaced.

MS somehow messed up and sent me 2 replacement mice on a warranty replacement. I contacted them to ship one of them back and they told me not to bother and enjoy the extra mouse.

Interesting. I have a G7 that drops its connection to the receiver ALL the time. I never bothered with contacting support cuz I figured it would be total pain in the rear.
So you're suggestion I just call them?

me too

I called when my Logitech mouse broke (it was the pre-MX300 series, but looked exactly the same), and this was at least 3 - 4 years after I bought it and they shipped me a whole new one.

My complaint was the replacement they sent lacked weights so I pulled the weights out of my disfunctional mouse and I was satisfied.

All this "Great customer service" and easy replacements on peripherals makes me question exactly how much the mark up is on these things if they are simply giving them away to anyone that seems to call in with an old issue

I would, it wouldn't hurt. I called MS only because i actually ran into a thread somewhere about how good MS support was, and that the mouse was actually a known issue (the cursor would bounce up and down the page unexpectedly). So i dug through my box of old stuff and found the mouse (for the serial #), and called them up.

The volume knob on my Logitech Wireless keyboard just stopped working yesterday, I'm going to have to call them soon so I can get a new one.

There isn't much competition for Logitech. I'm pretty sure they are marked up 50%

Prices are selling very firmly. The Logitech z-5550 averages around $220~ Reguarly... gets at $200~ sometimes. I remember a year back it dipped around $170~ These speakers are like what? 2-3years old?

Yea, they are great when your stuff is under warranty. However, the feet started falling off my MX1000. I called asking for new feet. No dice. They pointed to a site where i could buy them!? :| I paid like $3 plus postage. They cant cover $3 because im out of warranty? Ok then.
