I've heard it does work with the PS2. I don't know for sure. I remember when GT3 was released people reported that the PC wheel worked on PS2 and vice versa.

I looked at many racing wheels and opinions in the past month.

None of the wheels, including this one, are great.


Has anyone found and used a good racing wheel for the PC.
I'm not too concerned about force feedback.

$60 AR is too much. Remember that also includes shipping and tax for me. The non force on is $50 retail. now I can play GT3A on the PS2 and MCO on the PC. Dual purpose joystick.

I've tried getting this to work with my ps2 and gt3 but to no avail.

777: are you sure you have the GP version of the steering wheel? there's a non-gp version that doesn't work with the ps2... the gp version (according to several sites, including firing squad) say that the gp version works with the ps2

no.. my friend's non-gp one is red too.. but the whole grip part is red... not just the 9 and 3 o'clock parts of the wheel.. the paddles are also different.. but you can't see those any any of the pictures... btw, you can also get this at http://store.yahoo.com/justdeals/logindev.html... it's refurbished, but it's only 35.. they're currently out of stock though.. so it's really up to you.. i think shipping is about 6 or 7, so it'll be.. roughly 42 shipped...

I have the Wingman Formula Force GP Wheel, and I'm using it on my ps2. The Formula Force GP is the pc version of the Logitech Driving Force steering wheel (which replaced the original GT Force Wheel), but it still works fine on the ps2. I'm not sure why 777php wasn't able to get it to work... Did you check your GT Force Wheel settings in the options menu?

Actually, IMO the Formula Force GP is THE wheel to get on ps2. Don't sell out on any other ps2 wheels, especially those cheap Interact/MadCatz wheels. The wheel features true force feedback (not vibration!) - the only console wheel I've seen to do this... Many stores still sell this wheel for $99, so $60 shipped is a great deal.

The wheel works on the following games:

I got a refurbished one from overstock.com a month ago for $40 shipped. It's a decent wheel except you need a good place to mount it, sit and play. Otherwise, it will just collect dust in the corner of your room, like mine.

I'm pretty sure that this is "the" supported wheel for Gran Turismo 3 on PS2. I don't have my manual on me, but I seem to remember some options within the game for this specific wheel.

FWIW, I got a cheap Interact wheel and used it for about a day before going back to a normal controller. It's a lot easier to play with the controller, and there are no worries about finding a good spot to mount the wheel.
