jbloggs - I have one of these and it has a 'connect' button on the receiver that goes into the XBox and then I pushed some buttons on the controller and it appeared to recognize the controller (had to do this after I replaced the batteries in the controller). This would lead me to believe that in fact you can have more than 1 working at the same time, so long as you go through the initial recognition process, but can someone who has more than 1 confirm / deny this?

I would be interested in purchasing a few units, but only if they can be used together.

I own a older version plus a newer and they are used together. That would be stupid of Logitech to release a wireless controller knowing most use it because they may be far but set it up so when playing a mulit person game three of your friends will have to sit near the tv.

Even the cheeper ones have a switch to select Logitech uses something else.

Couple of questions,
What is the longest possible distance that you can have between controller and the transmitter?

Does the controller have to be in the line of sight of the transmitter or are these RF wireless? Also if someone walks between the player holding the controller and the transmitter does the person loose connection momentarily?

Sorry for the newbie to game consol questions. I appreciate the responses. Thanks.

Nice deal... Scored 2. I was just telling the wife the other day that I needed one of these after my 1 year old yanked the controller out of my hand by the cord for the 1,000th time!

I can go as far as 20 feet but limited because that is as far as I can go.

RF Im guessing only because it is hard to play in the living room while sitting in the litchen (cant see the tv so this quest really doesnt matter much)

And no you can walk in front of it or even block los and it will still work.

IMO there is never a stupid question, its how one learns

i actually tried that - it was really pretty clean on the inside...
i messed with and jiggled things, which did help - but, and
especially in ncaa, it still wants to mess up. i can push on the top
corner above the trigger and that makes the button push : )
that one will just be the 'guest' controller now : )

thanks

That place seems to have great deals on alot of refurb logitech stuff. The wireless optical notebook mice for ~$13 are very tempting.

I received my two yesterday and I'm NOT HAPPY.

Both controller have a drift up when you are not touching the controller. PLUS.....one had skin particles all over the controller, the buttons, and the sticks.

Can you say RMA????

When mine drifts I find if I pull up on both of the toggles one is usually stuck down, don't know how it happens. It happens from time to time with one of mine and I got it brand new. These are great, but with wireless 360 coming out soon I can't see spending the money for 2 more.

That's why I haven't bought anymore logitech controllers. I own the PS2 and the XBOX ones and they both have this exact same problem. It's a design problem. Both of mine drift down very slightly.
