OK guys, I just purchased a set of Logitech Z-560's and so far have been extremly impressed with them (although took me forever to figure out where the holes for the connectors are ). The only problem, and this might just be a limitation of my current system, is that my sound card is an SB AWE64 and it only outputs 2 channel sound. Now, I will be getting my new system with an Audigy soon, but for now I was wondering if there is a way to output the sound to all speakers, instead of just the front ones. Kind of like the Altec Lansings ACS56's which, although wasn't true surround, outputted to all 4 speakers.

Thanks for the help in advance

Well, you could just split the output and hook up both the rear and the front connectors of the speakers to the split output.

erm, it should output to all four speakers.

you have the green one plugged in right? not the black one?
is the fade all the way to one side?
all your connections good?

Connections appear OK. Green plug is plugged into my regular speaker jack. No output from either of the rear speakers, even with the fade knob set to full

Any software settings I should be aware of?

EDIT: Godamn, these are the best sounding set of computer speakers I've ever heard!! Haven't even cranked 'em yet, either

Nevermind, guys, I got it Turns out you have to have M3D turned on, or the rear sats won't output.

Anyways, thanks for the help

Shameless bump

As I was sayin, the rear sats output with M3D on, but even while fiddling with the fader setting, the sound quality, although good, doesn't sound as good with M3D off, just outputting to the front sats. With M3D on, I get too much of a hall effect and the treble is a bit harsh. Kind of sounds like the cheesy "3d stereo enhancement" on older sound cards. Now, I've tried just connecting the black plug to my speaker jack on the AWE64, and the rear sats play and sound great, but no front output. Then, If i put the green plug into that same speaker jack, I only get output from the fronts, until I put M3D on, which, to be honest, seems like more of a gimmick to me.

So, I'm thinkin I might just go out and buy an Audigy, it seems like my venerable AWE64 has come to the end of its glorious life cycle

Help, suggestions, comments, or superlatives?
