i'm in. ordered yesterday. any one know of a device that can connect to a computer desk and allow the rear speakers to be suspended behind you? i have seen something like this with home theater demos in stores so you can stand in a small area with the little rears behind you. but havnt ever seen them to buy.

680's are digital (via OPtical input). 640's are analog.
I have the 640's and they the best by far in the $$ range.

Doesnt the computer decode it if it is surrond or not?

Yes, the computer decodes the sound with the dvd software. Some like it digital, though, 1 wire vs 6 .
I have used an analog set, they'r just fine. Be sure to match your speakers with your sound card.
If you don't have a digital out then don't get digital speakers.

I've had a set of these and the Altec Lansing 5.1's for about a year and I like the Logitechs much better. You can't beat these for the price.
