i have 2 sets of z560's ... swtiching to an external dolby digital decoder (midiland ads 4000) helped ALOT. I use a nvidia nforce so all the stuff from my pc is encoded and set to the decoder.
however I have the same complaint with the z560's that I had with my midiland 8200's ... as long as all the speakers are only 1-way ... it will just never sound right in a home theatre environment. also the bass is excessive, nothing some baffling and settings on the decoder can't fix though.
its not worth it for me to upgrade yet, but if my logitechs were to explode tommorrow. I would be hard pressed between the klipsch 5.1's and a real speaker setup.
so far ive used sblive, hercules in 6.1, and now nforce in 5.1
once you go from software decoding to hardware decoding, youll never go back.
