the Z640 is comparable to the Z540 and the Z680 comparable to the Z560, cept that the 6s are 5.1?

Wow. Those Z680s look utterly sweet. I literally got the Z560s delivered last week, and with my flat panel monitor I wouldn't have room for the center channel, but I love that awesome LCD control center.

/me goes to the dorm laundry room to change his b0xors.

anyone know when the z-680's are coming out? for $400 I'd get the Klipsch Promedia 5.1 ... these z680's can't possibly stay at $400 with the promedia's in the same class...

Just my 2 cents....

thats what Im thinking also. Although, the Klipsch's have been the kings for a while now, maybe the time has come to dethrone the king? Ill wait for reviews to start pouring in before I buy anything

Hey guys! I just got myself a z560s replacement cause my subwoofer broke. Do you think I should sell the z560s and get the new z680s!?

Also, how do I fix my broken subwoofer? They wanted me to cut off the power cord and now I have a broken subwoofer with no power cord but I DO have the 4 satelites. So when I get my new z560s in, I'll have 8 satelites and one subwoofer. What should I do? I want to save up for the z680s! Please advise!

While those z680s are plenty sexy, I think the z640s are really the sleepers here. I mean, 5.1 for under $100? And according to Ada880's early prices show, quite a bit under a $100. Given that I sit around 1'-2' from my PC, the z640 speakers have plenty 'o power. Just my $0.02.

Seriously. So basically we've got the z540's for 4.1 at 40 watts, then the z640's for 5.1 at 51 watts, and then the z560's for 4.1 and THX certified with 400 watts, and finally the z680's for 5.1, with a lot better stuff all around. A strange numbering system, but I think I get it now.

@##$@%!!!

I hope the Z-680 fixes the "Staticy crap out of speakers when adjusting volume after 6 months of ownership" bug that plagues the Z-560 along with Klipsch 4.1's...I know th Klipsch 5.1's have a digital volume adjuster that uses some sort of digital resistor so I doubt it would succumb to this problem. Here's to hoping!

Also hoping there'll be a deal to grab these for $110 =)

Well the 560s easily beat out the Promedia 4.1s (not the 5.1s). So I don't think it will be that hard a task for 680s Zs to take over the 5.1 promedias.

I agree with DealMonkey...what's the problem with the 640's? They're $61 at techsavings.com, of course there's shipping, but that's a great deal! And the other set may be around $400? Are they really worth that much more? It kinda seems like buying a $400 video card instead of a $120 video card. I'm interested in the 640's....I only have a 2.1 set now...but I have an Audigy now, and ..well who cares..it's a dorm room, but I want some 5.1 sound!
