Anyone know how these compare to the Logitech Z-3s Amazon has for $39.99?

Damn, this looks like such a good deal, but I'm really looking for a 5.1 system...any way of buying 2-3 of these and hooking them up for a 5.1 system?

Yes it is possible. Your soundcard must support it though (it must have analog outputs for the front/rear/center channels).

No. the subwoofer only has 2 outputs.

I thought you can? I was under the assumption that if your soundcard supported analog outputs for the front/rear/center channels you could hook 3 sets of speakers (one for each output).
Obviously you cannot directly connect the 3 sets of speakers to get 5.1/6.1 sound (in other words, a single subwoofer can't support all channels), but if your soundcard has three analog outputs you should be able to....
Hook one set up to the front output, one set up to the rear output, and one set up to the center output. The soundcard will have to take care of all the decoding. If you did this, you would have one bad azz set up!:
1) One subwoofer and two sattelites for the center channel
2) One subwoofer and two sattelites for the front right/front left channels
3) One subwoofer and two sattelites for the rear right/rear left channels
This would be a 5.1 setup; 5 discrete audio channels and one LFE channel....but boy oh boy....with 3 8" drivers, that would be a pretty loud LFE channel!
Oh...and yes...the Audigy 2ZS should be more than capable of supporting this. Just check your sound card for the three aformentioned analog outputs.
