Logitech Z560 $109.96 at DELL.COM

I finally got my Z-560s! So much for the March 1, 2002 delivery date.

As for the speakers... FANTASTIC, SIMPLY FANTASTIC.

Shameless plug coming, hold onto something....

For $111 (s&+h included) these Z-560s have become one of the best price/performance bargains I have ever purchased. The only explanation I can come up with for Logitech's insane pricing strategy is that they are attempting to undercut the competition in the mid-high quality 4/4.1/5.1 PC speaker market (i.e. Klipsch and Boston Acoustics) by offering a comparable (although arguably not superior) product for far less money. For $150 you would have to settle for the competition's 2 satellite/1 sub offerings instead of a full quadrophonic package. I simply cannot believe I only paid $111 for these speakers.

I totally agree with your "comparable, (though arguably not superior)" statement. I listen to the Klipsch at BB, it has that warmth sound that I like. But for $111 shipped, there's no question the Z-560 is a much much better deal.

The only sad thing for me is I live in an apartment, and I am a considerate kinda guy. So I haven't really used Z-560 to its potential.

Hooked these up a little while ago, and have been putting them through their paces. All I can say is, these are some fantastic sounding spreakers. Very easily comparable to the Klipsch in overall tightness and sound quality. Big, solid, well-built speakers and sub. Cool looking control unit. THX certified, and packing some serious punch. These speakers kick butt.

Best $100 I've dropped on an audio piece in quite some time, actually. Thanks for a great deal.

Its dead...for now at least. I am sure they will get more in stock eventually. Even if you can get them from Dell in the future with just free shipping thats a pretty damn good deal. But everyone who got them for under $115 shipped, thats a complete steal. I am so jealous.
