I think Dell has a better deal on a bundle with the 560's, Wingman Extreme Digital Joystick, and Labtec 840 Headphones for 199 with 20% off and free shipping. Around 160 shipped, then sell the other goodies you don't want or need and you'll probably end up with 130-140 in the 560's. Best situation would be to need all three items.

great review of the top speakersets - the guy really lays into the z560's - doesn't hold anything back - points out how logitech is blatantly lying about the power of the z560's (they open them up and point out the actual power of the sats and sub). it's one of the most honest and detailed reviews i've read.

I bought these speakers from Provantage prior to seeing this post. I ordered late night on monday, and they were delivered wednesday morning via UPS ground... talk about fast delivery!!

One thing I really like, these speakers use REAL speaker wire. So, if you want to run your rear channel speakers actually behind you, you can simply add longer wiring to accomplish this. Normally, rear channel speakers have wires that arent long enought to hide under the baseboard or whatever...

The satellites are sharp looking. The sub woofer is compact but that 8 inch driver is da bomb!!

For 120 bucks, I feel really good about the value of this purchase...

So, this deal is hot because of the price, the product and the vendor!!

I bought my Z560s from 2buystore before dell.com had their awesome offer.

The only complaint I had was that they assess sales tax to CA customers, although they're based in Florida.

Good speakers, but not perfect.

Main problems are:

Satellites hiss when you crank up the volume. Of course, with this sub, you wouldn't really crank up the volume that high anyway.

In Winblows 98SE, Creative SB Live! drivers were a bit soft. In WinXP, the native drivers are way too loud. So I have both the main and the wave volume down around 15% This is a drivers issue, rather than a complaint about the speakers. I might try Creative's drivers, but I'm concerned it will result in lowish volume again. I sometimes watch DVDs, which suffer from soft volume on PC software players, so too loud is better than too soft. Linux 2.4.16 kernel driver for SB Live! has volume at just about the right level though.

Finally, I wish the cable between the control unit and the sub was a foot longer. It's not short, but it'd be nice if it allowed you to shove the massive sub in a corner a distance from your PC/monitor.
