wow, that's pretty ridiculous. I as a child would have never given a simple answer as "because that's the black one /white one"
Suppose the dark = evil light = good is at the core of the problem and not necessarily racism although I'm sure it plays it's part if the child is routinely exposed to racism/segregated environments.
Why not show a picture of black cube vs. white cube.
which cube is teh good cube?
Which cube would you take home to mom?
Which cube would steal?
Why ask kids which one is the good looking one when they are all identical??
