Nope, it's $700.
See my edited earlier post. Apple's still overcharging by 50%, which is a lot, but not as much as they usually do. Normally they charge 2-3x as much as it costs to buy the components yourself.
Every computer seller overcharges for custom options, but Apple is the worst.
