Actually, in retrospect I'm kinda happy Adobe quit support for it. It's nice to see that sites have moved away from it so quickly. Now, I'm just hoping for the same on the desktop. Some of the biggest problems I have with desktop browsers have to do with Flash.

OTA update was available to my Nexus 4 yesterday. So far I like it. Only issue was it reset my contacts to sync contacts from all my accounts. Aside from that everything looks great.

I have been really worried about all of you who don't care/want about Flash anymore, thanks for sharing.

It doesn't have anything to do with Flash not working in Lollipop though, which is actual, useful, info.

Native flash is useless at best and a security risk at worst and has absolutely 0 support.

If you need it so bad, learn remote desktop, its pretty awesome.

Just installed on my Nexus 5. Going to take a little while to get used to it. I don't like thw white background. And everything is lagging and slower. Maybe, I'll try and reboot it to see if it fixes it.

Is the only way now to put the phone to vibrate is by using the volume button? I used to have the option when holding down the power button. This sucks.

edit - I can do it by hitting the volume key once then hitting the volume icon. And I figured out how to silence everything.

edit2 - Used to show different mail icons up in the notification bar to tell me if it was a gmail email or another email account email, now it uses the Gmail notification icon for all emails.

It's not so much that it's using the gmail icon, all email now runs through the gmail app unless you're using a 3rd party email program. I'm going to turn off my corporate email and move it to nine or equivalent since I've already sent one email from the wrong email account.

Overall performance seems less consistent with 5.0, and overall stability is not great. My phone basically has a seizure any time a call comes in and can't be answered.

Good idea to move my corporate emails to another email program. I'll look into nine, thanks.

Yeah, stability sucks and the lag is killing me. So far, nothing in lollipop is an improvement from what I can tell. This morning, my 56 minute commute into work without even using my phone, I went from 100% to 81% battery life. I thought battery life was supposed to be improved.

Hope an update to fix this crap comes out soon.

Have you done a factory reset? I'm not experiencing this at all but I did a clean reset after doing the OTA.

I always like starting fresh with new O/S releases.

When I have to use flash on Android I use a browser that is called Puffin that I recall. I only use this browser for this purpose (flash and adobe shockwave videos) and use chrome for everything else and thus Puffin has no personal information.

Puffin runs the video on their server and then sends the information to your tablet. Much more stable but slower to load than trying to run flash in a browser such as dolphin.

Puffin is free to try, but after so many times you have to buy the $3.99 version.

Any major bugs on nexus 4?

I read about some wifi battery issues (not supposed to impact Nexus 4) and camera getting stuck (for N4 the camera may be restarted by entering/exiting the app, but N5 requires a full reboot), but don't know if it impacts some or not all.

I'm about to go on vacation and it doesn't make sense to upgrade, but the gadget fiend in me says I should update to 5.0 since the pop up appeared on my phone 2-3 days ago. I'm partially rationalizing it with better alleged battery life..

don't do it before going on vacation, a bricked phone on vacation can make it a tough experience. To me it doesn't seem to provide any major improvements, maybe I'll just hold back until all the bugs are figured out.

Requires a desktop somewhere doesn't it ?

Flash isn't useless if I want to use it. That's what the word means.

Here is the story so far, Flash works before Lollipop, using Dolphin browser, now it doesn't.

I found that out thanks to a post in this thread, all the posts about people who don't use Flash are here too, but they have nothing to do with the point, actually.

For example, it was possible to "not use Flash" before Lollipop..

It wasn't possible to use Flash when KitKat was released either. A workaround with Dolphin and a modified flash apk was later released.

Either way, Adobe ended Flash Support on Android.

Somebody will figure something out, just give it a couple weeks.

Keyboard seems more accurate. Don't like my chrome tabs being separate entries in the task switcher. Really clutters stuff up.

Did any of you w/ Nexus 4 or Nexus 5 enable encryption and see how it affects the phone? Specifically,

1. Performance
2. Battery
3. Storage loss
4. Bug (reboot, force close, etc.)

You can revert that back in the settings. I'm still trying to get used to that. It makes sense to have them in the carousel since they want you to treat them as apps, but when I'm in Chrome and want to go back to another tab I had open, I have to slide through the carousel to get there.

Nope. I have an N5, and after I saw that the Nexus 6 had an extremely slow read/write rate due to the Encryption, I decided against doing it on my phone. It makes sense to be encrypted, but if it is going to kill my performance, no thank you.

Anyone else that has it enabled, can you please fill us in?

Enabled encryption on the N5. No surprises or difference found. In fact I forgot it was even enabled, until I read the above posts. As for those with an N5 having slowness or laggy issues, I do recommend a complete reset right from the bootloader and installing the original images from Google. You can reset your phone from the bootloader when you unlock the bootloader.

I gave up on this and switched back to the old style. It would have been nice to have both so I could easily switch within chrome and get back to a specific tab from another app.
