I understand this, but the majority of the public doesn't. The majority of Americans still think we're in Iraq because of September 11th.

It's believed to be due to G8, not the olympics.

 

Terrorism anywhere, at any time is never acceptable and always deserves retribution. Though this may not be Al Qaeda. The explosions last year in Spain were proven to be Basque separatists who simply used Al Qaeda-like tactics.

As an American who's never left North American soil, my deepest sympathies are with those in GB right now.
